By week's end, the @MegaROXtrial will pass 6000 recruited patients. I think we will hit 1000 patients recruited per month in early 2023. A truly global collaborative effort to understand how best to apply a ubiquitous treatment to the critically ill. Thanks to everyone helping.

Amazing effort from @CICMANZ staff in successfully running more than 1200 vivas over ZOOM in the last fortnight. Thanks to all the candidates and examiners who participated, and good luck for the hot cases next week!
Thank you to the amazing hospital engineers who in just a few days have converted our new 6-bed @wellingtonicu extension into a large negative pressure room. And also built two new air locks where corridors used to be.

#covid19FOAM#coronavirus updates from the CCM-L list. Troubling reports from Italy, as this sounds like a rather sicker population than described in other settings. Note the high prevalence of shock and fairly young age bracket. (shared with permission)

Thanks to @KateTietjens (& with design by @psirides) check out the @WellingtonICU teaching programme. If there's a better one in the world, I'd like to see it.
Ever been told not to bother looking for the jugular venous pulse? Or that the a-x-v-y waveform only exists on a white board and is not appreciable in real life? Don't believe everything you hear, especially in medicine. https://t.co/iIbvd57mwf #PhysicalExam
