[Robert Holden @BobHoldenNYC]

To stop the deadly spread of the #Coronavirus, which must be paramount, NYC should close all public schools for period of time until the virus is under control. Most responsible big cities around the world have done this, in the name of safety, #CLOSENYCPUBLICSCHOOLS now!

[Nicole Schneider @msschneider1120]

@nypost @NYGovCuomo if only there was this magical person who was in charge of the WHOLE STATE who could make that call.... #CLOSENYCPUBLICSCHOOLS

The @UFT's Michael Mulgrew to @NYCMayor Bill de Blasio & the @NYCMayorsOffice: Our schools need to close now for the safety of our students, staff & families. We need to contain, not contaminate.

[UFT @UFT]

Mulgrew: We must put the health and safety of our school community above everything else #CLOSENYCPUBLICSCHOOLS

[UFT @UFT]

Mulgrew: We will ask the Supreme Court tomorrow to order NYC to start complying with the state-mandated process for closing schools. And we will file a complaint with the Department of Labor for unsafe working conditions. #CLOSENYCPUBLICSCHOOLS

[UFT @UFT]

Mulgrew: Enough is enough! Stop the insanity, close the schools + work with city agencies to create and implement a plan that supports our neediest students +communities + 1st responders and healthcare workers. That's how we get through this crisis. #CLOSENYCPUBLICSCHOOLS

Today must be the day we move to #ShutDownNYC.

We can only maintain public health by STAYING APART.

The decision each of makes now will impact us all tomorrow. STAY HOME.
