Also, in the New York DA case, Trump’s signing a personal trust account check for an illegal payoff on a personal matter is not colorably an official presidential act even if it took place on the Resolute Desk.

It’s no more protected by Article II or the Judicial Code than Spiro Agnew receiving kickback payments in his EOB VPOTUS office for things he had done as Baltimore County Executive and Governor of Maryland.
