@PaulTassi Avowed was a great game though. But they should have let obsidian make a fallout game as soon as they could.
@TerryHB_ What mines dude? We haven’t had a new Fallout game since 76, and that’s not really what the fans wanted from the franchise. Hell, I’m still waiting on the Elder Scrolls VI; I wish we could get real news from it.
@esjesjesj I am just happy Obsidian gets to live and they are making a Fallout game. I do hope they can make a Pillars 3 some day though. Pitch it to Microsoft how they can have their own BG3 franchise.
@dummiclown Idk if this means New Vegas was bad for you but I love New Vegas but what happened to fallout it used to be good. Then the multiplayer one sucked.

@Wasteland_Memes Yeah, and that was largely because of 'recycling the game engine'. And it launched in a terrible state, is still very unstable without certain mods and bugfixes, and Obsidian said many times being able to use Gamebryo and Fallout 3's assets were a significant help for them.
The Mick Gordon fallout but also a lot of ppl literally couldn't play it cuz new PC parts are expensive asf and ppl are more hesitant than ever to buy new console generations.
I'd love to play this game but I can't run it, and requiring RTX is a big part of that
I wonder if DOOM: TDA didnt do that well commercially because of not just Gamepass but the Mick Gordon fallout as well.
I know a lot of people first hand that refused to support DOOM: TDA because of that unfortunately.
People underestimate how popular Mick is (and rightly so, the guy is ridiculously talented and on a personal note he is one of the nicest people I've ever met.)
Microsoft and Bethesda had an ample amount of time to repair that relationship but did nothing.
Granted, even if DOOM TDA did way better commercially, I still think Microsoft would've gutted Id Software because they are inept and have laid off successful studios before
SIDENOTE: The Revelations soundtrack is 🔥 Finishing Move did a great job on the DLC and Mick's influence can be felt throughout.
@shapeformer @Marzipas @deantak This. Idk what the plan here is, and frankly I don’t like it rn. But, Asha in other ways is already showing that she has a plan. Obsidian is making fallout now with Sawyer at the helm (led development of Fallout New Vegas).

@ek__leyi @cactigaymer I don’t like modern Bethesda or fallout 4 either but for far more banal reasons than some conspiracy against Fallout and its fans or petty jealousy of new Vegas. The company got bloated, dedicated resources to the wrong things which led to where we are now.
