@Nick101Gaming It's probably important to keep in mind that Intel said these chips won't be cheap. If they are similar in price to a strix halo chip, then they haven't won and we need to be comparing the G3 to a 395+.
Great article by Jez, as usual! He deserves props for continuing to address the concerns of Xbox Fans, by highlighting that putting games everywhere undermines the Xbox ecosystem and hardware. He is among the few people with huge reach that shines a light on this issue.
XBOX GAMES SHOWCASE big predictions piece.
What do you want to see from the Xbox show this year?

"The Xbox Games Showcase is pulling into view. Every year, people talk about how important these shows are for Microsoft, but with Xbox's 25th anniversary and a new direction ... there's a lot riding on this one."
If you're a proponent of:
• XBOX games everywhere, day one
• Other platforms featured at XBOX showcases
• Project Helix as a niche, low-volume device
• No meaningful exclusivity
• Specs alone as the differentiator
Then you're also accepting:
• A shrinking user base
• A weaker brand identity
• Hardware becoming increasingly optional
• Reduced mindshare among publishers and consumers
• PS6 as the default platform for coverage and comparisons
• XBOX hardware becoming a secondary endpoint in its own ecosystem
That's not a growth strategy for the console; it's managed decline.
Literally talking about Tim, but if you wanna go there my argument is still valid. It would only take 5% of the 6 million who bought Forza on the PS5 to make the same amount of money. That's how much more value it is to have people in your own eco system. If the games are good enough, then gamers will come.
@PiggyKropotkinn Just enjoy it while you can. I've enjoyed the little time I've put into it, but there are too many other games that have a stronger pull for me, including Destiny.
They won't get even close to what they would have! They will lose 30% on the games he buys, they will lose his subscription, third party games purchased from their store, accessories, the next console, etc. What they sell on Playstation is chump change for Microsoft, and it's their fault! They had a chance and they blew it. For me, if Gears is still exclusive I'll stay, if not then I'll go. They start canceling unreleased Playstation ports, I'll definitely stay!
I won't go to Playstation though, I will fully migrate to PC, which I've been preparing for.
If Xbox didn’t talk about we hear you, the core, feedback site, and signal the way they were SIGNALING it would be much less of a hit when this all goes down. Part of what started to get them attention and a real strong vibe was all of that. People want them to be BOLD and they want them to be competitive but Xbox really hurt themselves here. They sabotaged themselves badly here and let’s say they reversed coursed and didn’t show the logo and didn’t announce Gears on ps5 it lost its punch. At this point I want them to stay their course and put games on ps5 because that’s where I’m going and most will follow.
Someone came to me and was like give them 8 months. I said nah. I was gonna buy gta 6 on xbox and I was gonna renew gamepass. I was all in. Now in 8 months I’ll get all my games on ps5 pro. I pressed on this because I wanted an answer and I got it. Go look at my gamertag on Xbox. Haven’t played in over 14 months and now will never play again. Can’t say I didn’t give them a chance. I did. They failed 😞. Xbox community is the best still and wonderful creators and passionate fans. Happy 😊 I made friends with mostly everyone again. That does make me happy.
@ImaRealFerret@TheBigPlume@XBOX No, that's not it. Xbox YouTube, still uses the PS5 logo on stranger than heaven and Forza Horizon. It is specifically Xbox on Twitter and Xbox Japan that are smart enough to remove the logos.
