Doesn't mean he thinks Mason is the very best starter he could have.

There are 8 other NFL teams that see Mason as a possible long term starting QB.

I know because I follow insiders from a number of other NFL teams.

Mason wasn't even playing in an offensive style fully appropriate for his best skills.

BTW: Mason is a lock for QB#2 per DK Pittsburgh sports, is getting less reps so the young guys can catch up.
