The SNP faces the prospect of two civil actions raised by Scots demanding refunds after they donated to a fundraiser "ring-fenced" for an independence referendum campaign.

🚨 NEW: Nigel Farage’s £5m gift from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne was reported to the National Crime Agency by his bank over fears it was laundered money
[@guardian]
A massive round of applause for @mmgeissler's skewering of the arguments around Nigel Farage's demands for special treatment around his £5million gift
Malcolm Offord's response? "I agree with all that. I agree that he's chosen that life and I agree with the scrutiny."
If Count Binface ends Nigel Farage’s political career in this silly hissyfit unnecessary by-election it will be the single greatest moment in British politics
The 28-year-old gave up reading International Law and Legal Studies as a PhD student at King's College London to run for parliament. Her full name is actually Pyla Lara Bird-Leakey and she is, of course, obsessed with Palestine.
Unearthed videos of the qualified English barrister on social media appear to show that she has significantly dialled up her Scottish accent since becoming an MP, having previously spoken in a rather posh English tone.

The Brexit vote, electing Boris Johnson and then driving Starmer out of office shows clearly how easy it is to manipulate the British population. They must be the most gullible in all of Europe.
The Sun : Sturgeon’s ‘last shred of credibility DESTROYED’ by new Branchform photos.
Have to agree with Kenny MacAskill, the suggestion she didn’t know what was coming down the tracks when she upped and resigned is “for the birds”.

Sturgeon is struggling to get her story straight and it looks increasingly clear, as Scots have long suspected, that she resigned as FM because of the Murrell scandal. We have to see Sturgeon under oath and interrogated properly by someone on top of their brief.
🟡 NEW: Statement from SNP finance committee members who resigned over finances in 2021
- The three confirm they submitted their resignations ‘independently and with integrity’ on 19 March 2021 over ‘the party’s financial health and governance’
- A joint statement was given to the NEC the following day, with the hope it would be flagged to the auditors – said what followed this was ‘deeply concerning’
- Say they worked on the committee ‘against a backdrop of increasing concern and negative perceptions among party members and the wider public regarding aspects of the party’s Autumn 2020 accounts’
EXCLUSIVE:
Andy Burnham is expected to appoint a former Blairite cabinet minister who is one of his oldest political allies as his chief of staff as he seeks to overhaul No 10
James Purnell, who served as pensions minister, culture secretary, and work and pensions secretary in the New Labour governments of Sir Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, is the frontrunner for the role, The Times has been told
He is said to be viewed by Burnham as a “serious figure” who is capable of implementing his radical plans to reform Downing Street and Whitehall
The pair, who entered parliament together in 2001, shared an office as novice Greater Manchester MPs, with Burnham representing Leigh and Purnell holding Stalybridge & Hyde
Burnham frequently joked that he was overlooked for broadcast interviews in favour of Purnell, who was educated in France and Surrey
Purnell is chief executive of Flint Global, a major PR and lobbying firm, a role that may present issues over potential conflicts of interest in government

First Minister John Swinney’s failure of leadership throughout the Murrell scandal could yet cost him his job. My @DailyMail column: https://t.co/RMKF03UvpA
Cops and prosecutors have confirmed they DID have evidence against Nicola Sturgeon and asked for advice on whether to charge her – despite the former SNP leader’s claims they found nothing.

SNP response to Murrell's sentencing published. We'll get more from Swinney later.
But no apology to donors, members, or independence supporters for its institutional failure to stop Murrell's theiving or its intense denial that anything was in any way wrong
