Yesterday, some of our children were joined by @teamrepair from Keep Britain Tidy for a Gadget Repair Workshop. The children used tools to carry out a simple repair on a broken electronic device. This is part of our drive to make Dorothy Barley a more sustainable school.
On Tuesday, we were visited by our CEO
@cathiepaine, who inspired our children and our Attendance Mascot, Barley Bear, with a talk on the theme of Aspirations.
Thank you, Ms Cathie for giving us lots to think about and encouraging us to always reach higher.
Yesterday at DBJA we had Dilip Baishya from LBBD Waste and Recycling talk to our parents about being sustainable at home. There were free reusable bags, fridge thermometers and measuring cups given out to our community!
