@MickPuck Absolute fantastic song Mike and excellent live performance. Dont Bang The Drum is one of my favourite Waterboys songs with the introduction spellbinding building up a crescendo then your wonderful powerful vocal - you must be so proud to have written a song like this - thanks
@simplemindscom 1982 Glasgow Tiffannys - Mel Gaynor debut on drums - China Crisis supported. Saw many times at Barrowlands in 80s and looking forward to gig at Glasgow Hydro at end of this month.
@GraemeAThomson Remembering queuing for SM tickets at Tiffanys on a cold Sunday morning & was gutted when gig was moved to Barrowland after Waterfront was videod there - how wrong was I - went to Barrowland and rest is history - what a music venue still going 40 years later !
@numanofficial Really enjoyed the gig in Glasgow last night. Was a great atmosphere with you and the bands performance being exceptional. Great to hear older songs not generally played live stripped back with your voice sounding so sharp - loved your genuine appreciation of the crowds response
@tracker_robert Thanks @tracker_robert for excellent following on twitter today. Without you would have been in the dark about Bob's match today. Great from you and fantastic result for Bob & all Ryder Cup Team πβ³οΈππ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ
@robert1lefty@RyderCupEurope Absolutely fantastic to see you get a singles point today and 2.5 points overall. You may have been a rookie on Friday but not anymore. Here's to many more Ryder Cups for you Bob - brilliant ππβ³οΈπ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ
@soundstoryuk Title track is a fabulous song, however, a very under-rated track from all U2 back catalogue is 'Elvis Presley and America' - great lyrics & vocal variation.
@soundstoryuk Everytime I hear Song to the Siren it brings tears to my eyes, however, Another Day and Holocaust are brilliant tracks. It is such a fantastic album.
@numanofficial First saw you 26th September 1980 at Glasgow Apollo - my first live gig aged 15. Cant believe that 43 years later Im looking forward to seeing you again live this time at St Lukes Glasgow - thanks so much for your wonderful music over the years !
@numanofficial You look as if you love the area around where you are staying in Scotland - great to see you relaxing ahead of the tour. Look forward to seeing you at Glasgow
@_TMsteve Scotrail HST at Glasgow Queen Street last month. Cadder HST depot just outside Glasgow had 4 sets of HSTs parked there on the Sunday morning when our train passed the depot !
@soundstoryuk@MickPuck@WaterboysMusic Dont Bang The Drum - what an intro. If I played professional darts the intro would be my walk on song.
Also love ' Old England' and the title track - tho the whole album is a classic !
@MickPuck Great lyric great song Mike.
One of my favourite Waterboys songs
' your coat is made of magic and around your table angels play' - just superb
@djrobingalloway Funny !! knew you would try and find a comeback but Im not looking for followers - far from it - and I dont claim to be a ' national' radio station who you would expect in these days of social media to have far more followers than just over 3k Chief π
@djrobingalloway Obviously not enough listeners tuning in - maybe just dont find Old Mrs Galloway or Hector Brocklebank funny - then again who doesπ€. Hopefully have heard the last of them π
@numanofficial Remember buying the album Tubeway Army but when got home the actual record inside was The Pleasure Principle. Being still at school with limited cash I recorded the latter then returned to store to exchange for original lp. NB Bought PP a year later. Thanks Gary for your music.
