@JustinWolfers ***FOR WHICH QUINTILES !?***
The problem is the lower quintiles being punched in the face economically by the terminator for weighted necessities!
Lower 3 quintiles can't afford the current COL not less another 1% increase in prices!
Please relay what's wrong not headlines
@thezlatkom AI CEOs told everyone that the burger flipper can vibe code a whole POS system in a weekend so no ... skills issue ... doesn't apply relative to promises made.
@basedbtc_@leadlagreport This and local LMS are the good enough pricing.
My case for AI being a bubble is total lack of moat which is narrowing monthly vs AI ROI wall is going taller monthly.
@Mystral2042@leadlagreport Come on man with the "skills issue" again.
We were told the grounds keeper can vibe code an HR system in a weekend and AI would need to be that frictionless for it to be profitable relative to spend.
@Techmeme Hmmm, out of those 26% you'd think they'd be able to show some ROI relatively quickly even with the damn near free versions!
Someone said recently the true AI bubble is AI is more expensive than humans.
Still think the true bubble is lack of moat but value has true standing.
@DavidGardnerAI@leadlagreport "Weβre at day one just about..."
No we're not, AI has been around for generations.
Also, AI is not as widely adopted and as fast as the switch to streaming for instance.
It needs to be to justify spend and valuation.
@pequityresearch@DarioCpx@edzitron Not "everything" is doing stupid levels of circular financing schemes like AI hyper scalers.
AI skepticism is rational
@Actionjax91@GeneralMCNews I don't take the word of the DCs builders more than a I can throw them far with a broke arm
I'll take your word though that the newer DCs are closed loop
@Stutigardum@edzitron The infra tech and these corps have been around for a while, lets stop the they just started shit.
They're not selling sustained fusion reactors.
@widemermaid@edzitron Those had usefulness to everyday people and profitability path.
I don't see both for AI as a whole, AI's profit path looks to be niche and so is its usefulness
@edzitron RIGHT !!!
All those companies had organic paid demand for a useful product
I don't see, even in tech, the switch to AI anything at the scale people switched to streaming outside of search.
AI doesn't have Netflix level popularity or usefulness in peoples lives.
@rickjeff78@gummibear737 Don't know man ... China can and will outlast us in that chicken fight.
I'm still leaning on The Pedophile is a monkey with a loaded gun and no one wants to take the bullet in stopping him.
