As a woman and as a citizen of India, I support lawful police action. Action should be taken against everyone involved—not selectively.
Peaceful protest is a democratic right, but threatening national security, spreading abusive or inflammatory rhetoric, mocking or hurting the religious sentiments of any community, and crossing the line of law are not acceptable.
Let’s be responsible citizens. Freedom of expression comes with responsibility.
Hello @DelhiAirport this video has footage of Kaddu the airport not being aggressive, extremely calm and peaceful. Do you guys have basic empathy and the sense of coexistence? I have shown footage of the dog being calm, can you show footage of this dog being aggressive ?
Indians eat with their hands because it is a natural blend of culture, practicality, and science. For centuries, this has been a part of Indian tradition, allowing people to feel a direct, personal connection with their food. Ayurveda also supports this practice, saying that touching food with your fingers sends signals to the brain, activates digestion, and helps you sense the temperature and texture better. Eating with hands also encourages slower, more mindful eating and reduces overeating. Many Indian dishes like roti, dosa, idli, rice and curries are actually easier and more enjoyable to eat this way. And contrary to the stereotype, it is not unhygienic—Indians follow strict habits of washing hands before eating, making it as clean as using cutlery.
Because many dog activists genuinely believe that removing strays without any proper plan — and into shelters that don’t even exist at the moment — will only lead to cruelty and death. We’ve already seen what happens when animals are pushed into unregulated systems. Look at the recent Delhi case, where dozens of dogs died in the name of sterilization because some untrained staff decided they could “operate,” and their bodies were later found dumped in the backyard.
These activists aren’t fighting against the public; they’re fighting against a system that has historically failed animals again and again. For them, protecting dogs on the street isn’t about money or influence — it’s about ensuring these voiceless beings don’t end up in places where they suffer silently. This earth belongs to every living being, not just humans.
Most activists step in out of empathy, not agenda. They see animals who have no home, no voice, no protection — and they choose to stand with them because if they don’t, no one else will. Their resistance to relocating strays comes from a very real fear that once these dogs are taken away, they will no more.
It’s not a fight against people; it’s a fight to protect the most vulnerable in a system that keeps letting them down.

Exactly like those humans who proudly feed hundreds of homeless people in the name of bhandara or give money as charity, and then these same people end up committing theft, harassment, or even worse crimes.
And during bhandaras, they create piles of garbage and conveniently forget to clean it.
Of course, they will. After all, the child was left there because the mother got scared of the puppies while giving birth—so obviously the puppies are the real culprits, right? A human makes a mistake, but the judgement will magically fall on the animals. Because when it’s time to act, rules, logic, and basic sense stop working. Perfect system, isn’t it?
The United States has almost no stray dogs because the entire system is designed to manage them humanely, not through cruelty. Every dog must be registered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and abandoning a pet can lead to heavy fines or even criminal charges. Cities have trained Animal Control teams that immediately pick up any roaming dog and take it to a functional shelter—never back to the streets. Large-scale sterilisation prevents uncontrolled breeding, and strict waste management ensures there is no open garbage for animals to survive on. A strong adoption culture, responsible pet ownership, and continuous public education also play a major role. In short, the US maintains dog-free streets not by being cruel or romanticising the situation, but by building strict laws, efficient systems, and real accountability—something India still lacks. And copying any model without proper planning always causes harm, especially when we are talking about living beings who deserve care, dignity, and kindness.

Civilised countries manage roaming animals not because they love animals less, but because they have the infrastructure—proper shelters, enforcement, funding, and trained staff.
In India, the issue isn’t compassion. The real problem is the lack of proper animal shelters, weak municipal systems, no long-term rehabilitation plans, and almost zero accountability.
We end up fighting each other instead of questioning the root issues:
• No dedicated, functional shelters
• No large-scale sterilisation programs
• No trained staff to handle or rehabilitate animals
In the absence of proper systems and knowledge, we just keep blaming each other.
Until these structures exist, both people and animals will continue to suffer.
True compassion means protecting human lives and ensuring animals aren’t abandoned, crushed, or treated cruelly because of a failed system.
They too deserve kindness. They too are part of this earth.

In a country where a rape accused walks free just because he’s “4 months away from turning 18 .
Where crime-minded individuals are allowed back on the streets.
Where honourable judges take suo moto actions over a newspaper cutting,
but when real action is needed, “rules and regulations” suddenly become flexible .
Do you think this is possible?
@barandbench Yes,
At a time when people are busy with extramarital affairs, cheating, and abuse — things that have sadly become normal — marriages have turned into a joke.
So yes, it’s obvious hearts will ache when someone dares to talk about compassion.
