In other words, using the word "you."
Get your reader's attention. Plant them into your narrative. And make them vividly picture themselves inside the scene you're painting.

Can't really disagree with the approach to default 5 minutes past the hour. Requires dropping expectations, but c'est la vie.
Hard stops in the middle of the day are standard, but that nebulous hour-long EOD standup? Tough to be 'that guy' unless everyone else is bought in as well.
You absolutely have not fucked up. Youβre one of the top examples I bring up with successful solopreneurship. (Mostly with my 9-5 normie parents.) The numbers are incredibly useful, since they give you a benchmark.
