@KeelyBrazil @MikeLeeforUtah I’m curious where you feel the amended bill’s religious protection language falls short? The protections seem pretty robust to me.
@KeelyBrazil Second, I recall you saying not too long ago, “I can’t really relate to the desire to tell people what to do…I just do not have this paternalistic attitude toward my fellow Americans. People have bodily autonomy.” Curious what changed?
@KeelyBrazil Hey there!
First of all, a person in France can get an abortion for any reason up to 14 weeks. You certainly can’t do that in Texas, Mississippi, Missouri…
GOP Platform for ‘22:
1) Bounties on abortions
2) Harass and disenfranchise Dem voters
3) Fire educators who teach kids about racism
4) Prevent schools from stopping Covid spread
5) Threaten businesses that comply with a domestic terrorism investigation
(That’s just this week!)
@SenMcCollister Agree it’s a massive improvement but the term “ranked choice voting” has become a lightning rod. Time to consider a re-brand? Like “Instant Runoff?” Voters are familiar with runoffs and this functions the same way while eliminating the need to go to the polls a second time.
My brain: Power’s out but we’re fine. You’re an Eagle Scout. It’s like camping.
Me: But our bed is right there and the fridge is still cold...
Brain: True, no need for drama. Same home, just a little colder.
Me: Ut oh, WiFi is out.
Brain: Yeah...
Me: So...we’re camping.
@tedcruz You could walk backwards the rest of your life and still not undo what you’ve done. Texas deserves better. This officer deserved better. SHAME.
@thelauracoates Odds this turns 2024 GOP Senators/presidential hopefuls (Cruz, Hawley, Sasse, etc.) into “convict” votes in impeachment round 2? Distance themselves from the ignominy of Trump’s final days AND eliminate him from the competition?
@AshaRangappa_ Has anyone opined on the possibility that the Ambition-Sedition Caucus (Cruz, Hawley) might vote to convict in an impeachment now to 1. push blame on Trump on his way out and 2. disqualify him from holding office and eliminate the chance—however remote—that he would run in 2024?
