Several members of FSKMS ISI had an opportunity to meet Congressman Raskin today via zoom because they are participating in the Capitol Hill Stock Market Challenge. Congressman Raskin invited the students to visit Capitol Hill after the competition.
FSKMS Iron Sharpens (CPSS Kappa League) participate in Youth And Truth Health Literacy Initiative. Today they learned about the unethical practices of theTuskegee Study and the federal protections for human participants in research that exist now as a result.
We would like to congratulate the FSK choir that participated in Music in the Parks at Kings Dominion, Va. They earned a 1st Place trophy for Best Middle School Choir and Best Overall Middle School Choir for the Month. A huge thanks to Mr. Rivera Casiano for preparing them ❤️❤️

The Maryland Music Educators Association (MMEA) State Large Ensemble Festival announced our Advanced Band AND Advanced Orchestra earned a Division 1 SUPERIOR RATING for their performance at this year's state adjudications. We love and celebrate you FSKMS for a job well done. ❤️
On Sunday (yes, Mother's Day!), 10 of our orchestra students visited the Music Center at Strathmore.
Our friends at MCYO and Strathmore provided charter bus transportation from Key MS to have this VIP to see the Philharmonic orchestra's season finale.
