There were a couple of important presentations made to David at the game on Saturday.
First he was presented with a gift from @sligorovers Chairman Tommy Higgins.
Then he was presented with a gift on behalf of @BitORedTrust by Susan Brennan and Ryon Burnside McHugh.
It was a civic occasion on Saturday at the testimonial as the Mayor of Sligo Cllr. Declan Bree made a presentation to David on behalf of Sligo County Council and he was assisted by the Cathaoirleach of Ballina Municipal District Cllr. Seamus Weir.

Thank you to all who come out this evening, there was a great turnout, great to see the legends back in action, the David Cawley XI won 7-2 and Danny North is looking to come back out of retirement, the after match is in the Belfry and then Lola’s after!
Thanks to Kevin Quinn and all the staff at the Belfry for providing the pre match meal for the David Cawley XI, the lads are all set for kick off at 6pm!
So the word is Sligo Rovers are looking for some strikers, well Danny North and Mark Quigley are back in town and will be back out in the Showgrounds this evening!
