So, imposter syndrome is when capable people feel like they're incapable - what do we call people that are incompetent but act super confident in their abilities? Just a bunch of idiots?
CactusCon Kids is BACK this year! We'll have a computer graveyard along with some arduino, coding, and networking activities so make sure you grab a separate ticket for the kiddos.
See you and your lil hacktars Saturday from 9:30 to 4PM!

If you aren't aware, @DC480AZ is organizing the @CactusCon after-party on Friday night.
It's gonna be at Level 1 Arcade Bar immediately after the con.
Have I mentioned that I'm part of DC480 😇
It should be a good time!
These are not solutions. They are not plug and play.
These are tools. They take care, maintenance, and feeding. And using dishonest verbiage to convey an inaccurate meaning leads to mistakes by IT people putting more in these than they should.
Cybersecurity awareness month is almost upon us. Time for a string of tweets about “solutions” that didn’t actually solve the problem but turned out to be a new layer of complexity.
I’m looking at you, Okta
In case you can’t tell, the point of this rant isn’t security products having vulns. I get it. That’s going to happe.
What’s making me grumpy is all the vendor and sales crap that uses the word “solution” to sell this stuff.
That implies a meaning that isn’t accurate.
As a reminder we’re also bringing back SNOWTALKS!
This year’s theme: mistakecon.
What are those truly excellent oopsies or poor life choices you made that taught you something?
The AMAZING AND TALENTED @RedWedgeX (who TOTALLY didn't hijack the @CactusCon Twitter account to post this) made our INCREDIBLE, STUPENDOUS, WONDROUS artwork for #cc11!
Also, don't forget, our CfP is still open! Go submit something! I believe in you! https://t.co/kbt6BRwigb
Have you ever been visited by the secret service or FBI? Ever knocked an entire country offline? Were you the person who knocked O365 or Facebook offline for a day?
We want your stories! Come and speak! Share your life lessons.
