Reducing SR because the game decides to put you against ranks lower than you is idiotic. I get in theory you should be outperforming them anyway but then just don't give extra SR.

I say this every year too, if you are solo or in a duo, losing should not automatically lose you SR. If you are overperforming in OBJ and/or KD while queuing solo or duo, but lose because you have terrible random teammates you shouldn't be penalised for it.

In a 3 or full squad then yes, you should still be penalised for losing and just get better teammates.

New Ranked Play SR updates are now live:

➡️ Outperforming a player 2+ Ranks above you now provides a +40 SR bonus
➡️ Outperforming a player 1 Rank below you now only results in -10 SR (previously -20 SR)
➡️ Outperforming a player 2+ Ranks below you will still result in -20 SR

These changes are intended to reduce the negative impact of Opponent Rank Adjustments for players ahead in the SR journey who've been facing off against players mostly below their Rank.

Like a true ELO system, the quality of your opponents matters, and you'll need to beat the best to receive the biggest gains. 💪
