Diego Pavia told NFL execs he's not coming in to be a backup and wants to be a starter when asked about adjusting to a QB2 role, per Tom Pelissero.

While some teams might praise that confidence, others could easily see drama in the locker room if Pavia comes in as a backup but is unable to accept it.

Pelissero mentions there’s a chance Pavia could go undrafted and sign with a team as a priority free agent after the draft concludes.

Doesn’t help either, as earlier this offseason, Pavia, who’s 24, said he’s not mature yet and has another year to become so.

“Coach Clark Lea always pressed that your frontal lobe isn’t fully developed until you’re 25, and I just turned 24… so I’ve got like 365 days to go.”

The maturity level is definitely raising eyebrows around the league.
