Do you have your kids draw a specific picture? Write a "to my future self" letter? Sing a special song or do a fun dance? The end of the school year is coming quick so don't forget to plan out time to show your students, their families, and yourself how much they have learned.

Congratulations to all of the 2026 graduates. Many of our DCSD educators are also graduates. Working in education is demanding; working while going to school is extraordinary. We celebrate your achievements and thank you for everything you give to our students and communities

When bargaining is open to the public, our whole community gets a window into the ideas shaping our schools. Transparency leads to better decisions for everyone as well as greater trust in our schools

Pick out that red shirt, dig out the red pants, rock the red shoes! On Tuesdays, we wear Red and DCF items to remind ourselves and our community that we, as educators, have an incredibly important job and we are the experts in how it is done!

Special Education educators care for some of our most vulnerable students. This is why a CBA matters. Districts across the metro have collectively bargained for important protections so Special Education teachers have what they need so their students succeed.

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming to an end, but there are still plenty of ways to show you care! Demonstrate to educators that you believe their expertise and hard work matter by wearing Red for Ed at a school board meeting!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you for everything you do, whether it be tying your 50th shoe of the day or writing your 50th letter of recommendation. We are proud to be educators and we are grateful for everyone who supports us in supporting our students.

Behind every desk there is a story. We love our students and work hard to ensure everyone thrives. One of the tools we use and need is protected PLC time so that we can operate as a true team to best serve the needs of our students. A Collective Bargaining Agreement gets this.
