MARSEILLE : Our last full day in Marseille and we headed for the nearby fishing village of Cassis where we visited the Calanques by boat. We were very lucky with the weather! @DCGSVisits @DCGSLanguages

MARSEILLE : Today we have visited the beautiful city of Aix-en-Provence. We walked a route in the morning and then went to the Caumont Centre d’Art in the afternoon for an exhibition and a short film on Cézanne. @DCGSVisits @DCGSLanguages

MARSEILLE : We are driving back to the school from Avignon, having visited a covered market, the Palais des Papes and the bridge. Only 11,000 steps today. Students have been great and are excited about the weekend ahead. @DCGSVisits @DCGSLanguages

MARSEILLE : All present and correct this morning. Lots of smiling faces, despite having to bring the pre-school France versus England basketball match to a premature end! We are now on a coach heading for the beautiful city of Avignon. @DCGSVisits @DCGSLanguages

MARSEILLE : Yesterday’s visit concluded with a visit to the very impressive Musée Cosquer, after a brief stop at the Cathédrale la Major, passing through Le Panier; a former workers’ quarter that has undergone a certain amount of gentrification. @DCGSVisits @DCGSLanguages

MARSEILLE : Fantastic morning so far. Met students at school, short metro ride to the centre of Marseille to see the fish market. Now heading to Notre-Dame de la Garde on the petit train. @DCGSVisits @DCGSLanguages
