Finishing off the decade strong with Brody and Gavin capping the roof; Harry, Mason, Cody and Amir hanging some siding, and Avery and Kirill working on the last bit of soffit. You guys have certainly earned a break, enjoy the holidays!
In the last few weeks we've spent time preparing for a few of the finishing touches like roofing and siding. Today felt like we started making some good progress. I appreciate the work ethic and upbeat attitude these kids bring with them everyday! Thank you gentlemen!
Construction Project update: the last part of October into the beginning of November was spent sheathing the roof, building the overhangs and prepping the roof for shingles.
DCG construction crew hard at work setting trusses! This is one of my favorite activities with this class because it takes the whole team working together with effective communication to accomplish this task. Great work gentlemen!!
Box Joint guitar by Brock Wolf. One of my favorite parts of teaching is seeing the creativity and uniqueness of my students and it becomes easy to see on the final box project in this class. Awesome job Brock!
DCG const. crew spent the day with Habitat for Humanity framing the floor of this house for a family in Perry. It was an awesome day filled with great learning experiences and fun for the students and I. I am proud of these kids and appreciate the hard work they put in today.
