The War Eagles laid claim to the N.C. High School Athletic Association 7A dual-team wrestling championship on Tuesday with a dominant performance, defeating New Bern 40-30 and clinching the match with four bouts.

It's Davie's fourth title. They won it all in 1994, then went 12 years before winning it in 2006, then 22 years before winning it in 2024.

This time it only took two years.
