@mightbeautistic I prefer to say "I'm on the spectrum," or "I am a person with ASD." I don't feel like my dx defines me. I'm a person. I just happen to have ASD like I happen to have brown eyes. Neither of those define me. I prefer the shortened "ASD" because I refuse to say the word "disorder."
