Composing Music for Shenmue: My Memories
(Translation of the previous thread)

Working on Shenmue at SEGA was the first and only time I was temporarily transferred to be part of the music team. Collaborating with so many talented music staff in the same room was an incredible experience. Mitsuyoshi-san, who sat right next to me, was such a kind and helpful person. I really appreciated his support.

That said, it was a bit challenging for me since I’m more comfortable working on my own. I tend to get nervous when I’m surrounded by a lot of people while working. On top of that, wearing headphones while composing was a real adjustment, as I’d always used speakers up until then.
