In February of 1919, 65,000 union workers in Seattle completely shut down the city through general strike to demand higher wages.
"You are doomed to wage slavery till you die unless you wake up, realize that ... you, the workers, must take over the control of your jobs."

Dug the mines and built the workshops, endless miles of railroad laid
Now we stand outcast and starving 'mid the wonders we have made
But the union makes us strong
Are you ready to pin the strike notice in the capitalist's pocket at the DC #MayDay2018 festival? We are!
(Thanks to Candace Wolf for creating this for the event!)
