Yesterday DCFMO and DCEM participated in an online exercise for the NCHART (North Carolina Helo Aquatic Rescue Team). NCHART can be called on through coordination with the local EM for rescue of individuals that may be in rising flood waters or in a High Angle rescue situation.

#DCNCFMO was able to get in some training this afternoon on our new airpacks! The Davidson County Fire Marshal’s Office participates in the same training that your local firefighters do. Fire suppression and training is still part of the duties of your fire marshals.

Did you hear? Davidson County Schools has approved the addition of a public safety academy to be hosted in two high schools within the county. This will give students the opportunity to learn about careers in public safety and even earn state firefighter certifications! #DCNCFMO

This past week #DCNCFMO conducted two supervised firework shoots. Any permitted pyrotechnic show requires an inspection by the fire marshals office. Both shows went off without a hitch. Happy Independence Day!
