Over the last few weeks our kindergarten students have become mini entomologist who set up butterfly gardens in their classrooms. Using their journals, they have observed and documented changes of caterpillars into butterflies. Let us know how it’s going in your class!

Our Kindergarten students @HendleyES and @JanneySchool learned the importance of eating fruits and vegetables in our @DCHPE Cornerstone Growing Vegetable Soup. Students were then tasked with classifying items as fruits or vegetables and sorting them by color. @dcpublicschools
Our 7th grade Parkour and Rock-Climbing cornerstone teaches students a variety of movement techniques that allow them to overcome physical and mental obstacles in their environment. Students then have the opportunity to display their mastery at our Annual Parkour Jam, June 1st!
Eastern's Mural Club: Laila Hood, Julian Curry, & Keyara Middleton sponsored by Ms. Lee, participated in DCPS community Arts Day "Transform DC" and showcased their mural "Pride of Capitol Hill". The mural will be on display outside of the National Building Museum through Sept.
