I am not sure any more can be added to this quote and commentary by Kuyper, yet here I go, humbly. The rot-at-root is human covetousness, the innate sin in us all, always ready to incite our psychology thus propensities and prerogatives then preferences to apply our truly unique and peculiar ability to reason as the final arbiter even upon those things obviously beyond mysterious and divine.

So we tempt ourselves while rightly, necessarily pursuing knowledge to theorize causal, logical possibilities, however also to imagine, to conjure what lies beyond the mysterious and divine "other" side of the Law of Gravity, beyond the mysterious and divine "other" side of laws governing atoms ergo protons, neutrons, electrons, and other small particles, and more.

In so doing, we covetously, presumptuously, arrogantly arrive to something that equally, exceedingly, even excessively requiring belief per grave lack of material evidence, yet claiming then insisting the same over time as foregone conclusions while dissing, ridiculing, as well slandering anything contrary. I must momentarily suspend my rambling in favor of the following excerpt from a book by mathematician and philosopher David Berlinski that I highly recommend, in addition to Isaac Newton's magnum opus and thesis Principia (1687)...

"If Newton's Principia has given the future of mathematical physics its characteristic shape, it has given the future its characteristic question as well. The Newtonian universe is a closed physical system. Whatever happens takes place as the result of casual interactions between material objects. There is nonetheless one aspect of the Newtonian world that is not explained by Newton's theory, and that is Newton's theory itself. The law of universal gravitation binds the world's far-flung particles into a coherent whole; but the law is itself transcendent. It cannot be given an explanation in material terms.

This is true as well for the equations governing electromagnetic field, Einstein's field equation for general relativity, and Schrödinger's wave equation in quantum mechanics. The laws of nature by which nature is explained are not themselves a part of nature. No physical theory predicts their existence nor explains their power. They exist beyond space and time; they gain purchase by an act of the imagination and not observation, they are the tantalizing traces in matter of an intelligence that has so far hidden itself in symbols. Efforts to explain the laws of nature in terms of still further laws of nature that explain themselves have been unavailing. They are what they are."

The only thing brought back from near-death experiences are individual perspectives. All other claims are subjective to one's psychology thus personality, propensity, reasoning, knowledge, etc.

If Christian, then only Scripture can be proposed as primary source, deducing and inducing (ratiocinating) towards consistent doctrine on the matter, rather than reacting to something often inconsistent, unsubstantial though experiential, thus subjective while personal.

When has the US Government not lied to the people or not misled the citizenry? Mis/dis/mal-information, however minute, began since the founding, particularly upon concocting the scheme to replace the first constitution with another, US Constitution, then the Bill of Rights. I defer (for readers, not Representative Massie) to reading in whole the Federalist Papers as compared to then reading in whole the Anti-Federalist Papers, as well re-reading Federalist Paper No. 84 surprisingly penned by Publius aka Alexander Hamilton.

Incrementally so at first in 18th and 19th centuries, of course, then later exponentially so in 20th and 21st centuries, the increases proportionate to each legislation that piled atop those previous, proportionate to each expansion of power, size, budget, expenditure, debt that presumed further than prior, and certainly proportionate to each and every war seized as opportunities for the aforementioned and more.

Yesterday for lunch, fried up some leftover basmati rice, with cut-up leftover beef tri-tip from nearby Home Place Pastures (pasture raised, plus garnered 3 mason jars of broth too), poured from frozen bag peeled and cubed homegrown butternut squash of last May's harvest , then since there's a 2nd round of cantaloupe growing in my garden too, cut some leaves for greens as well sweet basil to add cut from my herb garden, slow-poured a couple of whisked fresh eggs, drizzled with olive oil, dusted with Greek season... "So there you go!" :-)

The day prior, similar, same leftover rice, same leftover beef tri-tip, but this time, turnip greens frozen from last spring, drained brine from one of my mason jars of pickled homegrown Roma tomatoes with sweet and green onions, washed it with water to reduce the brine taste, then tossed it into skillet, again, whisked eggs, some olive oil, Greek seasoning... "So there you go!" :-)

Finally, Home Place Pastures makes a wonderful German style bologna, deli quality, and so my favorite way is fried along side 2 or more fresh eggs, sunny side up, laid earlier that morning.

Not to boast, however everyday I eat partly or entirely from my garden and coop, will do so while growing more this fall, and all through the winter until spring when starting the process all over again. It took 5 to 6+ years to get this point.

So what is my f--kin' point. Given the broken supply chains, limited commodities, even bare shelves of 2021-2023, we all should have been awaken from our politically preferential slumber. It was a governmentally driven situation, and "do not blame just one party nor one president!" For a situation to occur again, then again, yet again, I assure you, just like the governmentally driven bubbles/busts cyclical since 1913.

Again, what is my f--k'in point. If not tending a garden and coop, nor fishing, hunting, that is supply in part or whole your own food sources; START doing so, even just growing herbs in the kitchen window sill, which anybody can do.

@TrumpsHurricane Setting the bar that low would make heroes of all politicians who dropped out electoral races. Why not categorize every candidate who lost an election as heroic and moral, while catergorizing every candidate who won an election as greedy and corrupt... :-)
