Just after 0600 this morning, Engine and Tower 13 were sent to a commercial structure fire in their first due. Company 13 handled the small electrical fire with themselves, allowing all other units to return to service shortly after arrival.

The Company 10 fleet stands as a symbol of dedication and service. From technical rescues to structure fires to medical emergencies, our Rescue, Engine, and Ambulance are more than apparatus — they’re lifelines for our community. #DCVFD#SecondToNone
It has been one year since Assistant Chief Steve Chappell was laid to rest.
The true master on the fire ground left a lasting impact on everyone that walked through our doors and will always be remembered as someone that lived up to our motto, #SecondToNone#DCVFD
Today while conducting training on fire ground operations, the 4th Battalion Engine 510 crew took time to engage with the community. Building strong connections with our neighbors is just as important as preparing for emergencies. #SecondToNone

We have a few new folks training to drive TW513. Because it's so hot during the day, lots of our training has to be at night. Great training for real live scenarios. 🚒 🌡️ 🔥
