I can only speak for Navy E to O accessions, but those sailors worked their asses off and excelled in their jobs. They were not given anything. There are outliers, sure, but by and large mustangs are exceptional officers.

We had ~200 NJP cases (several repeat offenders) in two years on a LHD, and three of those were officers (including a post command O-5). Talking to some of my counterparts, this wasn't unusual.

@aspiringpeasant I suspect the folks who'd do something like this aren't aware you can navigate a desktop (at least in Windows) without mouse inputs. It isn't convenient, but it isn't hard either.
