Kudos to the team working hard, come rain or sunshine.

This initiative also aligns with the vision of the Arunachal Pradesh state government to promote local cuisines and highlight the diversity and richness of our traditional culinary heritage, as well as promote the ‘One district, One cuisine’ initiative.

Over the past five years, Aalo has witnessed significant urban transformation. The development of National Highway packages 8 and 9, resulting in a four-lane NH-13 passing through the district headquarters and the Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH), has laid the foundation for this progress.

This infrastructure boost has paved the way for a range of urban enhancements: avenue plantations along the highway divider, aesthetically designed railings to deter stray cattle and pedestrian violations, vibrant mural art on streets and public walls, digital hoardings replacing traditional flex banners, and the revival and renovation of neglected structures. These efforts are further reinforced by the strict enforcement of Swachh Bharat Mission goals.

Sometimes, a single decisive step sets everything else in motion.

We are moving steadily toward a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful Aalo — Nirmal Aalo, Sundar Aalo!

Kudos to Aalo DC, Ms. Hage Mamu, IAS, under whose initiative the old District Library has been beautifully revamped into the Aalo Literary and Cultural Centre (ALCC).

Thanks to CSR funding from Nabkisan (a subsidiary of NABARD), the space is now more than just a library. It’s a vibrant hub for ideas and innovation. With work pods for entrepreneurs and digital nomads, a cozy coffee corner, a mini stage for events, and a fully air-conditioned environment, ALCC is designed to inspire creativity and collaboration among our youth.

What was once a quiet corner is now a lively, welcoming hub for learning and community— The Aalo District library now renewed and rechristened as the ‘Aalo Literary and Cultural Centre (ALCC)’ reopened today with renewed vigour and large enthusiastic participation by kids and adults alike.

The new ALCC was opened in presence of Brigadier Ritesh Katoch of 5th Inf Brgde Bogdo, CO 20th Bn ITBP, SP Aalo amongst various officials and students from VKV jirdin, RK Mission Aalo, Teacher Training College.

Conceptualised by DC Aalo, Mamu Hage IAS and executed by BDO Aalo East, Shri Eken Bam, the ALCC hopes to radiate once more as the centre for learning, exchange of ideas, shaping dreams and futures and a place where one can ideate create and collaborate.

To the incredible people of Aalo. Congratulations!

I couldn’t be prouder to share that the (Aalo) Puakghat Riverfront Development Project has been recognized on the national stage with the FICCI Urban Innovation Award 2025, under the category of Smart Public Spaces.

Out of more than 80 submissions from across the country, the project stood among the top three. And that’s not just a win for Aalo, it’s a message: when communities believe in their vision and work together, remarkable things happen.

My deepest gratitude to all who made this possible, from engineers and workers to local leaders and everyday citizens who never stopped believing in a better tomorrow.

The existing district library has been revamped under CSR funding from @Nabkisan @NABARDOnline . We are opening it for public and children tomorrow 10 am onwards.

All denizens of Aalo and west Siang are requested and encouraged to ensure its usage optimally and constructively.

DLMC meeting on Biomedical Waste Management Rules 2016, vis a vis SWM bye laws of the state and Environment protection Act was held on 15th July 2025 at DC's Conference Hall, Aalo under the chairmanship of Ms. Mamu Hage, IAS, Deputy Commissioner. @MamuHage

One of the most important aspects in hospital operations is management of BMW. The discussion ranged from short term solutions and long term solutions. Further, a comprehensive and informative presentation was also given by DMO Aalo.

Present during the meeting were Sri Kardak Riba, APPS, Superintendent of Police, Dr. L. Lollen, DMO, Dr. K. Rina, Med. Supdt, ZGH Aalo, Dr. Tomar Kamki, DRCHO, MO i/c of CHC Kamba, Yomcha and PHCs of district, officials from DUDA attended the meeting

Lone VDVK in pakam in west Siang district sees light of day!

Our VDVK pakam is finally operational after years of lying defunct. Thanks to Nabkisan, a subsidiary under @NABARDOnline for CSR funding for helping us get it operationalised.
SHG women groups of west Siang are finally getting the platform to grow , produce, process and sell local.

Pls support local if u see in the shelves of our local stores 🙏

Few glimpses of today’s activity by our SHG members who are working on processing 1000 kg of turmeric into powder, followed by packaging. We are planning to keep the products in retail shops, departmental stores, restaurants, and some hotels.
