When I look at this project in Kanubari, I see more than a sports hub. I see hope. I see opportunity. I see the community saying, we deserve the same chances as anyone else.
It’s the vision and the hard work of people who believed they could create something better for their kids, for their elders, for themselves.
And today that vision has been recognized with the Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence.
Respected sir,
Thank you on behalf of entire team Longding. Team under DC Longding @IASKunalYadav is dedicated to work even harder for Wanchonu and Arunachal.
Regards
Here is a glimpse of Multi-Purpose Sports Hub, Kanubari, an initiative of DC Longding, Shri Kunal Yadav, IAS one of the project awarded with the Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence.
Inaugurated on 20th February 2025 by Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture & Allied Sectors, Shri Gabriel D. Wangsu, the Hub has quickly become a centre for fitness and grassroots sports, with facilities like futsal ground, volleyball court, cricket pitch, and children’s park.
Congratulations to Shri Kunal Yadav and the people of Kanubari for this remarkable, self-sustaining model of development.
Proud moment for Team Longding - "Multi-Purpose Sports Hub, Kanubari" - Brainchild of Kunal Yadav, IAS DC Longding has been awarded the Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence! 🌟
A testament to innovation & financial sustainability — proving rural sports infra can be world class.
Also released the Biennial Report of SiRD&PR highlighting key strides in rural governance & capacity building.
Compliments to SiRD&PR for training 15,819 participants last year,
empowering grassroots leadership, one session at a time.
The State Level Workshop on Panchayat Advancement Index 2.0 isn’t just another meeting. It’s a commitment to better governance from the ground up.
The PAI is a performance-based tool that helps us evaluate and strengthen our Panchayati Raj Institutions by measuring their effectiveness in planning, transparency, service delivery, financial management, and citizen participation.
And here’s something we should all be proud of. Arunachal Pradesh is among the very few states in the country to devolve 10% of State Owned Revenue directly to Panchayati Raj Institutions. That’s real empowerment. That’s walking the talk.
I urged our officers, our trainees. Ask questions. Dig deeper. Make the most of this. Because training only works when curiosity leads the way.
And before we closed, handed over the “Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) 1.0 PURASKAR” Awards to districts, blocks and gram panchayats for their outstanding performance. These are the institutions carrying our democracy forward, from the roots up.
As we mark 50 years since NEFA became Arunachal Pradesh (1972–2022), we’re celebrating not with words, but with action:

✅ Golden Jubilee Merit Award
Rs 2 Lakh for students securing admission into IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, NLUs.
✅ Golden Jubilee Border Village Illumination
50 micro-hydel projects to power our border villages — lighting up lives and livelihoods.

This is not just celebration. This is commitment in action.
