The State Cabinet at Ziro approved key reforms in recruitment rules to strengthen governance in Arunachal Pradesh. Amendments include updating the Art Expert post under DIPR, introducing promotion from Exhibition Assistant, revising rules for Finance & Accounts Officers, enabling recruitment of Labour Inspectors via APPSC exam, and updating Marketing Inspector Rules (2025). These steps aim to empower local talent, promote culture, and improve service delivery.

Here is a glimpse of Multi-Purpose Sports Hub, Kanubari, an initiative of DC Longding, Shri Kunal Yadav, IAS one of the project awarded with the Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence.

Inaugurated on 20th February 2025 by Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture & Allied Sectors, Shri Gabriel D. Wangsu, the Hub has quickly become a centre for fitness and grassroots sports, with facilities like futsal ground, volleyball court, cricket pitch, and children’s park.

Congratulations to Shri Kunal Yadav and the people of Kanubari for this remarkable, self-sustaining model of development.

The State Level Workshop on Panchayat Advancement Index 2.0 isn’t just another meeting. It’s a commitment to better governance from the ground up.

The PAI is a performance-based tool that helps us evaluate and strengthen our Panchayati Raj Institutions by measuring their effectiveness in planning, transparency, service delivery, financial management, and citizen participation.

And here’s something we should all be proud of. Arunachal Pradesh is among the very few states in the country to devolve 10% of State Owned Revenue directly to Panchayati Raj Institutions. That’s real empowerment. That’s walking the talk.

I urged our officers, our trainees. Ask questions. Dig deeper. Make the most of this. Because training only works when curiosity leads the way.

And before we closed, handed over the “Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) 1.0 PURASKAR” Awards to districts, blocks and gram panchayats for their outstanding performance. These are the institutions carrying our democracy forward, from the roots up.
