♻️ GHMC Announces Mega E-Waste Cleanliness Drive Across Hyderabad !!
In line with its commitment to environmental protection and scientific waste management, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (#GHMC) is undertaking a Mega E-Waste Cleanliness Drive across the city to address the safe disposal of electronic waste.
The drive will be conducted on 12th & 13th January 2026 , covering 300 wards across Hyderabad, with the objective of facilitating organised collection, segregation and authorised processing of electronic waste generated from residential, commercial and public areas.
During the drive, citizens can hand over items such as:
* Refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners
* Mixers, grinders, irons, hair dryers and other small appliances
* Computers, laptops, mobile phones, chargers and routers
* Televisions, music systems, cameras and electronic toys
* UPS, inverters, batteries and power banks.
Dedicated e-waste collection vehicles will operate in every circle, and all collected material will be scientifically processed at authorised facilities as per E-Waste Management Rules.
#GHMC urges citizens to participate and inform people in their neighbourhoods, while RWAs and NGOs are asked to spread the information widely.
Let’s come together and ensure e-waste is disposed the right way.

Before Hyderabad wakes up,
the city is already at work.
By 5 a.m., sanitation teams are on silent streets clearing waste, removing silt, restoring order, so the city can breathe when the day begins.
In Serilingampally Circle, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Prashanthi, one stretch is taken up each day, not just to clean, but to care. Thoroughly. Consistently. With purpose.
This effort goes beyond sweeping.
Reusable clothes, books, toys, and household items are collected from communities and redirected through RRR Centres, turning waste into dignity, and excess into opportunity.
No speeches.
No spotlight.
Just committed work.
This is GHMC, working before dawn, working without applause, working because a city’s dignity matters.
A clean, green, responsible Hyderabad isn’t just a government goal.
It’s a shared responsibility.
GHMC is doing its part.
Now, the city is ours to care for.
