Prior to today’s game we held a moment of silence to remember @Brewers legendary broadcaster Bob Uecker 💙
“Mr. Baseball” spent 70 years in baseball, including being a member of the St. Louis Cardinals 1964 World Championship team. After retiring from playing, he would spend 54 years in the Brewers broadcast booth, becoming the heart of Milwaukee baseball, and the sound of summer in the Midwest.
He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003 as the Ford C. Frick Award recipient. The entire game of baseball joins the Milwaukee Brewers in mourning his loss.
We're going to be watching this on loop for the rest of the night... Here's another angle of Simms' GAME-WINNING, CHAMPIONSHIP-CLINCHING GOAL IN OT.
