The cover artwork for Lloyd Alexander's Prydain Chronicles by Jean-Léon Huens is my favorite of any fantasy cover work of all time. The Dell Laurel-Leaf editions were first printed in 1980 and they were the editions I read as a child, having been introduced to Prydain and Narnia and Middle-earth by my parents, who kept many wonderful books around. Let me be clear on this. Zero developers or designers ever see “fan feedback”. Any responses to this will be stored by corporate stooges and cherry-picked to bludgeon designers, artists, etc. and enforce the corporate stooges’ crusade-of-the-moment.
