We thought we was just having a little 4th of July fun and made a bet to see who would hold a firework while lighting it.
Worst decision ever.

The firework went off in my buddy's hand before he could let it go. In a matter of seconds, there was blood everywhere, his hand was badly injured, and it turned into a night none of us will ever forget.

I'm sharing this because what seems funny for a few seconds can change your life in an instant. No likes, no dare, and no bet is worth risking your hands, your eyesight, or your life.

Please learn from our mistake. Celebrate, have fun, but **leave fireworks on the ground and keep a safe distance.** Stay safe so everybody can make it home.
