Volunteer advocates working together with @t1international for #insulin4all. We advocate for transparency and lower cost of insulin in the DC metro area
PSA:
>Type 1 Diabetes (#T1D) is an unpreventable autoimmune disease in which the pancreas stops producing #insulin
>Insulin is a life-sustaining hormone that *everyone* needs to survive
>If people with T1D do not inject insulin, they die.
>#Insulin4all = making it affordable

In order to stay alive, many people with #diabetes must make sacrifices to afford our #insulin
At @T1International, we believe no one has to go hungry in order to afford their medicine. We advocate for us because @PhRMA extorts & exploits us
What have you had to sacrifice #DOC?
Insulin pump and diabetes sleepwear company StoWELL is running a fundraiser on behalf of T1International! They are offering a 10% discount using the code ‘T1INTL10’ and T1International will receive 10% of sales in the month of March!
The fact that the big three insulin manufacturers, Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, and Sanofi can just lower their price (or raise it) pretty much in lockstep, means that passing the #InsulinForAllAct is incredibly important to ensure that no one will die from insulin rationing again.
Over the past couple weeks, the work of patient advocates changed the landscape of the insulin market forever. While more needs to be done, our voices are being heard and the insulin cartel is bending to our pressure. Use the link to sign the petition: https://t.co/SEUfxEuWE4
We will continue to advocate for all three insulin manufacturers - Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, and Sanofi - to lower the cost of ALL of their insulins to an affordable price, and to do so across the globe. Sign our petition online using the link: https://t.co/SEUfxEuWE4
THEY ARE LOWERING INSULIN’S LIST PRICE.
This was no small feat by diabetes activists. In fact, few prescription medications in the US have ever had their list prices lowered.
WE. DID. THIS.
Now it’s time to bring it home and pass the #InsulinForAllAct!
In the aftermath of yesterday's news, T1International and our allies worked to ensure that the voices of patients were receiving the attention they deserved.
In the coming days, we'll share more stories, quotes, and press led by our team and others in the community!
To all the advocates and advocacy groups who have been fighting for affordable insulin, here are your roses. Please tag any advocates you know and show them, love. @Annalisavdb@t1international@Kidfears99
