I'm very excited to announce I'm running for House Rep in my home District 28b! I look forward to serving my neighbors by further strengthening the local economy while protecting the natural beauty of the St. Croix Valley. See you at Convention tomorrow!
@taylr@emilykoskimpls was never an East Phillips Urban Farm supporter. She voted for demolition every time. Check Council Action No. 2023A-0072; Council Action No. 2022A-0202; and others.
Since we started our campaign to email Mayor Jacob Frey and demand NO EVICTION without a plan, we’ve seen responses from over 700 people, most of whom live within a 10 minute drive of Camp Nenookaasi!
It’s clear that there is tremendous support for unhoused neighbors.
@ArtusBunnyBane@ATHazzard The Foundry was purchase by the investment firm in 2022, but the violations go back to 2018. Also, “MPLS = screwed”? Nah- people are taking the city back from white collar criminals like the owners of Smith Foundry. This report is one step in that direction.
The residents of East Phillips have known for decades that this foundry is the cause of health disparities.
For decades the residents have been gaslit by the Foundry, the City, and the State.
This Foundry should not be allowed to operate for another moment given these findings.
The EPA found a host of Clean Air Act violations at a surprise inspection at Smith Foundry in Minneapolis' East Phillips neighborhood. https://t.co/5caVPirItc
EPNI will change the development game by introducing a community-first model. Excited for the work a head and even more honored for the support and belief from our allies.
It was amazing to share the @epni_urbanfarm vision with Representative Omar. We are so glad to be working towards community prosperity and health in a systemically equitable and dignified way. Thanks @Ilhan for your support ❤️
I had the chance to tour the Roof Depot building with the East Phillips Neighborhood Institute. I have been inspired to see the community coming together with a vision for this site, and I am excited to see the next steps for their innovative project.

Of his 5 vetoes this term, do you wanna guess who the lead author was? Either me, @JChavezMpls, or @robin4mpls
He can justify it however he wants, but it’s the 3 youngest members of color who also happen to be socialists and represent the Southside that catch veto letters 🤷🏽♀️
@MayorFrey $10M is almost nothing compared to what we need to be investing in climate change. $1.4M in workforce training will disappear in a heartbeat. Use your office to make real positive change instead of constantly fighting grassroots visionaries. (the $10M was allocated begrudgingly)
Four years after its closure, Minneapolis' most visible homeless encampment has returned to a stretch of Hwy. 55 near the East Phillips neighborhood — filling up with residents who say they've been chased out of other encampments around the city. https://t.co/l8MEm3VE3V
Shout out to @CivilEats and @Kateisms for spotlighting EPNI board member, Cassie Holmes, and all the incredible work she has done for East Phillips and Little Earth!
