As planned, $INK mining will end on July 30, marking the beginning of a new journey for the cPen Network.

To prepare for the $INK distribution, please make sure to:

✅ Complete your KYC Liveness verification
✅ Use a self-custody wallet address
✅ Update your wallet address if you previously used a BitMart or other CEX deposit address

A self-custody wallet means you control the private keys or signing authority needed to authorize transactions. Centralized exchange deposit addresses will not be supported for the $INK distribution.

Since $INK is not being distributed through centralized exchanges at this stage, please use a self-custody wallet to avoid potential distribution issues.

For account security, we also encourage you to:

🔐 Change your account password regularly
🔐 Enable Two-Factor Authentication on the Profile page
🔐 Lock your wallet address once you confirm it is correct

After $INK mining ends, there will be a 2-week grace period for users to complete KYC Liveness verification.

After the grace period, KYC will be temporarily closed for $INK distribution preparation.

We will then begin the $INK mining verification process, followed by the $INK distribution.

A small team with a big dream

I was praying in a church one morning somewhere in Nigeria and I heard a mob noise “ole, barrawo, thief” and I raised my head up to see a large crowd dragging a young lady not korebthe 19years old, slapping her, hitting her with sticks and flogging with canes”.

I rose up and walked straight into their midsts and grabbed her hand and immediately the beating stopped, and without saying anything but with just the looks in my eyes, I took her into the church locked the doors and the mob gather all around the church shouting, bring her make we beat her, bring her make we kill her, thief, ole etc. It was like a movie looking back now so it may be hard for anyone to believe but there were witnesses.

So I went out to the mob and asked for the accuser and a matured lady was pointed at, I brought her in and then. Looking straight into her eyes, I asked her “what exactly did she do? And the woman broke down and said she is actually not a thief that she had served her well, and decided she wanted to further her studies but she, didn’t want her to go so an argument rose and she then accused her of stealing her money. As the mob got wind of her confession, they started banging on the church windows doors and anything that could make a sound while shouting “bring the woman out let’s beat her also, she is witch, so na innocent girl we beat.

Then looking at girls state, I went out and amongst the mob were commercial motorcyclists called “load riders “ so I said I had to her to the hospital and two of them volunteered to take us. I made sure the woman rode with the young lady, while I road behind them.

When we got to the hospital and questions were asked how the girl got to that state and confessions were made, I looked at the girl crying and broke down in tears of empathy and of joy that her life was saved, the accuser cried genuine tears of regrets, the nurse started crying and the Okada riders that brought us there, who actually took part in beating her couldn’t help it and broke into tears, so everyone cried. It was such an emotional experience.

The accuser hugged her, knelt down to beg her, promised to pay for her bills and she was handed over to the hospital staff.

Why did I tell this true life experience amongst many?, The truth is, many people will come out to present themselves good, meanwhile they will witness injustice and do nothing but record or just observe from a distance. In the literally sense, just walking into the midst of a mob and rescuing her was extremely dangerous, which sincerely did not cross my mind and I believe such boldness and the presence of God that was already around me while praying was the simple reason why no one questioned me. Nonetheless, the fact that I did not utter a single word but just walked right into the crowd with authority as they matched her accross the town passing the church to the center of the town, grabbed her hands and walked, would have made a lot of them pull back from touching me.

I just believe as humans we, can do better than remain spectators on the boulevard of injustice. I hope you’re inspired by this true life experience of saving an innocent life.
