A quick sales tips for fellow freelancers trying to sell their services.
A lot of people think sales is about convincing people.
It isn't.
Sales starts with curiosity.
The best salespeople don't talk first. They ask questions.
They want to understand:
• What problem are you trying to solve?
• What's frustrating you today?
• What have you already tried?
• Why is this important now?
• What happens if nothing changes?
Every answer gives you another piece of the puzzle.
By the end of the conversation, the customer has already told you exactly what they need.
Now here's the mistake most people make.
They immediately start pitching features.
Don't.
Instead, recap what you heard.
"So if I understand correctly, your biggest challenge is X, you've already tried Y, and your goal is Z."
When people feel understood, they trust you.
Only then do you present your offer.
You're not selling a product.
You're presenting a solution to the problems they already told you they have.
The easiest sales conversations don't feel like selling.
They feel like helping someone make the right decision.
Sometimes, they might just be sharing their imput on something else, but their analysis on that topic, just simply gives you a clarity on another. PEOPLE WITH A SOUND MIND. I Don't joke with them...
Do you want to know what it looks like, having people with Sound minds as friends? You'll know you've got a sound friendship circle, when random simple conversations with the friend, just suddenly answers a question in your heart or a burden you're unable to share yet........
These Police Officers just parked me at Bolade, Oshodi, pointed guns at me, and forced me to transfer N100,000 them. When my bank app showed "exceeded transfer limit", they dragged me to a nearby POS to do it with my card.
They initially demanded 150k each.
They were 4 in number.
These are the names I could copy:
Francis Adekunle

Recently, my mom was on admission. Everyday, myself, my siblings and my dad were at the hospital. We kept her company till 10pm before we dispersed, with one person staying back overnight.
Everyday, I looked around and saw the entire family and I smiled. It made me realized part of the ressons I hated living abroad. Your love one is sick and all you can do is send money. Meanwhile, your heart is beating fast because you cant see them. There is celebration or random Sunday family gathering and you are the only one missing. The reason I always show up in person for anything is that money cannot fill the place of presence. It is the memories we share that lingers.
Many families can't gather together anymore for celebration or caregiving. The only time some families can gather now is burial, and even burial no dey see complete family again. Nigeria has to work for the next generation. They deserve to gather around with their cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, parents, and grandparents on a random Sunday.
In another country, the abduction of schoolchildren for over a month now and the barbaric beheading of an innocent teacher by bloodthirsty terrorists, would have triggered a massive revolution by now.
But this is NIGERIA.
@osemagnum There are certain posts that when you read them, it automatically reveals the iq level of a person. No be everything be cruise las las.
Dr. Ose shaaa😂
I finally understand what Machiavelli meant when he said, “Never play fair in a game where others cheat.” It doesn’t mean become evil. It means stop being naive. Stop bringing honesty to people who study manipulation, stop giving access to people who weaponize closeness, and stop expecting clean hands from people who already showed you they’ll throw dirt. Sometimes wisdom is not revenge. Sometimes wisdom is learning the rules of the room before the room uses your goodness against you.
Is there even a day you wake up in this God forsaken country without news of kidnappings?
This thing has gone beyond talks and tweets. It is no longer funny anymore.
EVEN CHICKENS DONT DIE LIKE THIS FOR GOD SAKE!
@_VALKlNG Prayers for Nigeria DO NOT work.
Those prayers are useless.
Those prayers are strategic humbling tools to keep the oppressed from standing and fighting back.
Your political leaders and religious leaders are sleeping with each other.
I tweet for me boo 😭 Twitter for the OGs was basically a diary. We wasn’t sitting around chasing engagement . You just had a thought, tweeted it, and kept scrolling. If somebody saw it, cool. If they didn’t, oh well 😂 Twitter originally wasn’t even about likes like that. It was just people broadcasting their random ass thoughts into the universe.
There is no sugarcoating it.
Apc has failed in all areas.
Total failure.
Never ever in this country except this tenure that bandits had the audacity to even do live videos on social media with their victims.
Never ever in this nation did kidnappers have the audacity to rub it in our faces like the way they do lately.
We simply can’t wait till we are all rounded up by terrorists before we all speak!
It is as if we have all forgotten what it means for one person to die… Let alone hundreds?!
No NO NO NO! This is no longer cruise.
It has gone beyond ‘on your mandate we shall stand’
What mandate exactly are you Apc people standing on?
DEATH?
