Canadian postdoc working in Shenzhen. I study carbohydrate modifying enzymes isolated from gut microbiome using metaproteomics. Also interested in IP law.
My post doc position is still open for a few more days for those interested in microbial glycosylation.
Come work in beautiful Melbourne and do some fun science !
@RamezanpourHa @AcademicChatter This is not possible in Canada. Travellers entering Canada must still self isolate for 14 days even if they have a negative test. https://t.co/BhKUO5fr9x
Dr Rosa Peracaula & I are guest editing a Special Issue 'Glycobiology of Cancer' in IJMS. Please get in touch if you are interested in contributing

@shanpalus Not really though from an IP perspective lol. We definitely would not be encouraged to share results with the general public until a manuscript is accepted, especially for something unexpected and potentially big, so there is that issue...
@jbma23@AcademicChatter It would be worthwhile to discuss it and try to understand why your supervisor is asking you to do these things outside the scope of your thesis. It is fairly common to have side projects and your supervisor might be helping you to get extra publications or funding with these.
