Congratulations to #TeamDDC for running the third #dementiaEXPO, today in #Meltham. The team managed to connect local people to #dementia services in #kirklees. You can meet some of the stall holders at https://t.co/wCNerf9CWB
Fantastic presentation from @RobJConsulting at the @TSLVolunteering#volunteer managers forum at @NorthorpeHall today.
Discussions around volunteering trends, why people do and do not volunteer, frictionless volunteering vs quality-procedures, cost of living impacts & much more.
@HuddsUnlimited We had a chap walk into the #kirkburtonhub this afternoon. He has lived in Kirkburton for only two weeks, so we showed him some activities at the Hub, but also at the library and nearby Shelley and Shepley.
He seemed really impressed in the choices he has.
We're very proud to be awarded our re-accreditation of our Quality For Health and Wellbeing Award this week.
Well done & thank you to all our teams for maintaining such high standards.

Congratulations to Sarah and the multi discipline team she has lead, supporting and improving lives for new arrivals into #kirklees.
We felt honoured to be part of your team and today's celebration.
We are connecting to parents at Denby Dale First School at their Open Evening and Crafts Fair.
We've onnected people to our Pantry, Ukraine United and Anchor projects.
We are pleased to announce and welcome a new rural community group. We've been supporting the Rural Veteran Hub from idea to reality & will continue support.
This is a group for our local veterans who cannot get into town, providing support, social & sanctuary.

To give our staff & volunteers time to reflect on HRH Queen Elizabeth's life, and time to join the nation in mourning, our services will be closed on Monday 19 September.
Very proud to be recognised for our #CommunityChampion work with the #kirklees#COVID19 collaboration.
Thank you to everyone who has supported and helped us deliver such positive outcomes.
It was a special treat today, receiving guests, our friends and supporters from @KirkleesCouncil . One of our members explained her lived experience of hardship and how the pantry has changed her life.
Thank you to everyone who has and who continues to support our local work.
I was privileged to drive for 4 of our Ukraine friends. Their story is hard to comprehend. Latest chapter from a village tea-room: the owner announced "this lady is from Ukraine" & then customers started taking photos of her & spoke in "you are stupid" English.
We must do better
Special thank you to the stall holders attending the #dementiaexpo event in #kirkburton today.
Great stories of connection to services, support and improved quality of life.
Also people registering on our Dementia Carer Course which starts next week.
Today was a driving day, two wheelchair-user members taken to groups & home 5 hrs later.
I call it my grounding; working with people who use our services, it keeps my focus on the office work that must happen to achieve such positive impacts.
