We’re proud to share the successful completion of another fantastic project by DDI Projects for Nine Points Property.
This inspiring transformation saw an existing church converted into a modern specialist school, delivering high-quality teaching facilities through extensive refurbishment and associated site works.
Dedicated to the UK’s care and education sectors, Nine Points Property continues to create spaces that make a real difference — and we’re delighted to have helped bring this vision to life.
Completed in April this year, the project is another great example of collaboration, innovation, and breathing new life into existing buildings for future generations.
Earlier this year, we were delighted to be approached by Szymon Bialek, a motivated student seeking work placement experience on our active site in Fakenham. Currently studying for a T-Level in Construction, Szymon was keen to gain hands-on insight into Site Management—and we were more than happy to support him.
Our Fakenham Leisure Centre project, which includes a new extension and swimming pool facility, provided the perfect environment for real-world learning. Szymon has been working closely with our Site Manager, Rick Bennett, alongside the wider team, gaining valuable on-site experience.
At DDI, we believe strongly in supporting the next generation by providing opportunities to develop practical skills in a live construction setting. We’re pleased to hear that Szymon is thoroughly enjoying his time with us and benefiting from the knowledge and guidance shared by the team.
It’s fantastic to receive such positive feedback, and we’re proud to play a part in supporting Szymon’s future in the construction industry.

Due to work in the office surmounting, this post is much later than expected, but I have finally gotten around to posting the pictures from our DDI night out which was back in March! Our night consisted of a few drinks at the Mary Shelley in Bournemouth, followed by a burger and fries at 7Bone Burger (Oh My God – just delicious!!), a couple of games of digital darts at The Brass Haus and finally onto 1812 for more drinks and a boogie. This was a much-needed night out after a very busy year last year and we eventually (after a lot of illnesses and absences) managed to get out and let our hair down. I think it is so important for staff to be able to get together for the odd night out and just let go of the pressures of work and any stresses in life, to have some fun and enjoy the company. A good working environment, I feel, is always improved when colleagues can come together and relax. Thank you DDI for treating us all to a great night. Here’s to a few more of them later this year😁 Mark and Dean – you will note that I have refrained from posting your dance videos, however, I have kept these safe for possible future use😂
As part of our young apprentice, Callum Wallace's, carpentry apprenticeship, he was required to build a pitched and flat roof decking with gable ladders, facias and soffits. This took place in our yard, and we think he made an extremely good job of it! All was passed by his college assessor, and Callum is now nearing the end of his carpentry and joinery apprenticeship level 2. Well done Callum from all of us at DDI. We are extremely proud of you😁
Here are some pictures of the completed F&B area at David Lloyd Club in Dartford. Our men have put in a great deal of effort, and I believe you will agree that the outcome is breathtaking. It was wonderful to learn that the client was thrilled with this section’s completion and debut. A great thank you to all our guys, but especially to Piotr and Stuart McCarthy for their invaluable assistance!
We are delighted to inform you that one of DDI’s newest projects is a complete fit out for a Gymbox at Finsbury Park. This is looking to take a duration of 18 weeks allowing opening in the summer of 2025 and DDI are very excited to be working on this project for our client, the Urban Gym Group. Keep your eyes peeled for updates and progress pictures.
Indoor cycling is far from the repetitive and monotonous activity it once was, especially when you have a Spin Room with a curved Immersive Screen projecting images which make you feel like you are in the scene, pushing yourself to your limits and soaking up the atmosphere you are in. That’s what you will be experiencing at Houghton Regis Leisure Centre where DDI were invited by Central Bedfordshire Council to fabricate and install this screen. It is great to hear that the Council were grateful to us for working on this at such short notice. We are advised that compliments have been received from the wider project team, and we have a very grateful customer which always makes us feel good here at DDI. Thank you so much to all involved!
We at DDI have been busy preparing for several new projects for 2025 and are looking forward to the busy time ahead of us. We have a great team of office and site workers here at DDI who all work together to ensure that the projects carried out are met to the highest standards. It is also very important to us to have a close relationship with our clients in order that we can give them the service they expect and deserve.
I personally feel it makes a huge difference in a working environment, when everyone is pulling together as a team and supporting each other through the obstacles that may come within this industry. To feel part of this team and seeing the end results of each new project gives a sense of pride and achievement.
However, what really makes a great day in the office is when the boss makes everyone beans on toast accompanied by a lovely hot cuppa! What can I say but a huge thank you to Dean for making all the staff feel valued and appreciated.
What a great place to work😁
Hello again everyone. Further to my previous post regarding Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children, I wanted to share with you all a few of our photos and update you on the donations given for this event. I want to thank everyone, especially Steve Poole and Laura for taking the time to send the lovely photos in including our lovely dog "Bear" who looks adorable. I know everyone is very busy at this time of year so I really appreciate the effort made and for the donations given. Our small target of £50 has been hit and I am leaving the page open for a little longer as I understand there will be further donations made over the next few days (and possibly some more photos). I would again like to express my appreciation to everyone and wish you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year.

As you may know, today is Christmas Jumper Day, a Save the Children charity event which helps so many children here in the UK and worldwide.
I am lucky enough to have a job that I enjoy with DDI and I am looking forward to spending some precious family time over the festive period, however, realise that some children and families are not quite so lucky. I therefore decided to set up a fundraising page with a small target of £50 and I would really like to hit this if possible. I know that everyone is very busy at the moment with the upcoming Christmas festivities and holiday just ahead of us, however, if you are able to contribute any amount to this worthwhile cause, it would be very much appreciated. Any donation from as little as £2 will help these children and it literally takes a couple of minutes to do this. I have attached the link below in the hope that you will help me reach my small target and I know that DDI will be contributing to this cause to help me with this. I would like to wish you all a very happy and healthy Christmas on behalf of myself and DDI 🎅🎄

One of the great rewards a Company can receive is when they hear that their workers on site are recognised and complimented for the work that they have produced and the manner in which they have produced it. I therefore felt it was only right that this was shared. Luke, Vas & Callum who recently worked at the Claire's Head Office were noticed for their professionalism, exceptional high standard of work and nothing being too much trouble. It was reported that they are a credit to DDI and we would very much agree!! All of these values are something that DDI are very keen on promoting and we are extremely pleased to receive this feedback. We would therefore like to say a huge thank you to these guys - keep up the good work😁
The attached photograph is of Luke and Callum. Unfortunately Vas was unavailable for this photo opportunity!
One of the tasks that our young apprentice, Callum Wallace, had to recently complete in our warehouse, was a mock stud partition, door, frame, ironmongery, architrave and skirting install. This is part of Callum's Level 2 End Point Assessment for ST0264/AP03 Carpentry & Joinery apprenticeship and we think he has done a great job in putting his skills into practice.
Callum will also be undertaking how to construct a pitched cut roof with soffit and facia together also with a staircase which will take place in 2025 under the guidance and help of one of our carpenters.
We think that Callum is doing a great job and working hard with the support of Southampton college and his colleagues from DDI. Keep up the good work Callum😁
I would like to introduce you to a new member of our staff. His name is 'Bear' and he belongs to our lovely Laura who is currently working on site at Alliance Leisure, Diss. As a Company, we take PPE very seriously and therefore felt the need to kit out Bear with the relevant safety equipment. We feel that he has fitted in extremely well with all the workers on site and is a valued member of the team. I personally think he is the cutest dog I have ever seen😁🐶
Continuing on with our progress at David Lloyd Leisure, Brooklands, please take a look at the photos from the completed Spa area. This gym really is stunning and the Spa area is another phase which has gone over and above expectations. For further information on this spectacular Leisure Centre, head on over to Brooklands and take a closer look with their full virtual tour!
Our very own Mark Burchell is participating in a McMillan Cancer Charity fundraising event and has been reaching his target of 100 press ups every day throughout October. Unfortunately, far too many of us have been affected in some way by this awful disease so all of us at DDI are cheering him on to raise as much money as he can for this very worthy cause. We would love it too if you are able to support Mark throughout this challenge and if you are able to contribute to this cause (no donation is too small) I am sure both the Charity and Mark would be extremely grateful. Keep going Mark, we are all behind you!

DDI have recently completed a fitout of a new Pilates Studio at an old Oast House in Kent. This building is an ideal set up for the new studio giving an extremely open and airy feel to the room. The new Pilates equipment together with the lighting and dark beams look stunning. Great job by all involved😁
A recent project was something a little different for DDI in the installation of a new pizza and salad bar within the food and beverage area of David Lloyd Leisure, Cardiff. A fantastic concept by the Club which I am 100% sure will go down very well with all their members!
David Lloyd, Raynes Park certainly does look awesome with stunning design and decor. Definitely the type of Club you would want to be a member of, but unfortunately, just a little too far away for me! Well done to all involved.
DDI Projects have recently completed a project at Superdrug, within Bluewater Shopping Centre. This includes the refurbishment of 2 units into one and as well as the new shop front, the works included a new sprinkler system, new M&E system, purpose-built partitions to segregate the back of house areas, nurses room, floor levelling and floor coverage. The new warehouse and staff areas included new 60 and 30 minute partitions, a new canteen, manager's office and WC's, all with suspended grid ceilings. Fit-out duration was achieved over a 7-week period working days and nights to ensure trading to the Bluewater mall was not comprised. I think the new store looks amazing and I especially like the new complete section of premium fragrances and brand new Nurse Clinic, both of which make this store even more alluring to the public. A massive well done to all involved in making this happen😁
