@MrTiggerGolf@EricLDaugh@LucaTaner Ok. Sure. He should have put some effort into that during his first term whem dems were constantly on a witch hunt against him over lies and BS, I guess.
You got me.
@remobuttkiss@CaptOkland@IngrahamAngle He was feted by all the liberal talk show hosts, champ. From Oprah to Geraldo to Donahue... never ending.
And Epstein? Please.
https://t.co/48ydA1n7d7
The facts:
1) Trump never went to Epstein Island
2) Trump kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago when he found out what he was about
3) Trump was the ONLY person who readily cooperated with victim attorney Bradley Edwards against Epstein
4) Epstein lawyer David Schoen said Epstein had "no damaging information on Trump"
5) Epstein lawyer Alan Dershowitz has repeatedly said Epstein did not have "dirt" or compromising material on Trump
6) Epstein lawyer Jack Goldberger said that Trump was not part of Epstein's inner circle of enablers or targets
7) Ghislaine Maxwell said she never witnessed Trump in “any inappropriate setting in any way”, that he was “never inappropriate with anybody” and that “he was a gentleman in all respects”
8) After having the Epstein files in their control, dems never released any damaging info on Trump - you'd have to be a world-class idiot to think they would withhold the info if it existed
9) When asked by ABC News, the Epstein victims unanimously said they had no knowledge of Trump doing anything inappropriate
By yeah... keep up with your BlueAnon theory that Trump and Epstein were "involved" in some way because they went to some of the same Palm Beach parties for the super-wealthy.
(But don't ask why Ghislaine Maxwell was invited to Chelsea Clinton's wedding and why Bill actually visited Epstein Island, Little St James.)
You seem to have a real problem understanding the difference between political parties and their platforms and their quest to earn the favor of voters.
Fact: 23 DEMOCRATS filibustered the Civil Rights Act. One, and only one, became a Republican later. The scum who filibustered it REMAINED Dems, and in the case of some, like Byrd, were LIONIZED by their party.
Contrast that to VOTERS who subsequently rejected the politics of Gov Wallace, featuring Jim Crow, and the racist Dems.
The VOTERS abandoned the racist dems. The VOTERS switched to the party of Lincoln. The DEMOCRATIC PARTY held on to the POLITICIANS who enacted Jim Crow, founded the KKK, and filibustered the Civil Rights Act.
The Dems have never apologized for their despicablt positions AS A PARTY since slavery, Jim Crow, segregation, and being anti-Civil Rights. Instead, they make a ludicrous claim that because voters abandoned them in the South, there was a "party switch."
Except the politicians themselves never switched.
So... nice try.
@remobuttkiss@CaptOkland@IngrahamAngle Incorrect. People loved Trump, including every lib media outlet, until he ran for president as a conservative.
Then your dem overlords told you to hate him, so you did.
Because you are programmed.
Yep. The victors wanted reconciliation and unification, NOT subjugation and lingering resentment.
That's the difference.
But to say the South remained the South isn't wholly accurate either. Significant changes occurred, especially after Southerners rejected racist Dems and started voting Republican, and the South is more racially integrated today than most northern states.
@mythogenessis@IngrahamAngle rePUblICans waNTeD!
Yes, yes... there were some Massies and Greenes in the party even back then. We know.
But cooler heads prevailed, so the policy of allowing Confederates to honor their war dead remained even after Lincoln was shot. It was basically policy for the GOP.
@remobuttkiss@CaptOkland@IngrahamAngle Oh? Izzat so?
Let's play a game. You try an dig up a video of someone saying they are cutting off their parents or friends or spouse for voting Biden.
I'll counter with 5x examples of libs saying the same over Trump.
Let's see who runs out first.
Don't be retarded.
Not bad, but also a little incomplete.
Lincoln viewed Southerners as fellow countrymen who were caught up in a tragic war. He urged reconciliation. He, and others, didn't want the South to be viewed as a defeated enemy, but as countrymen brought back into the fold.
Erasing these monuments erases an important symbol of reconciliation and returns to an "us vs them" mentality, which hastens a return to the idea that we are not one people.
Lincoln understood that, as did successors, and his Second Inaugural Address and other writings indicate that.
Bear in mind that liberals THRIVE on "us vs them," so erasing symbols that were ONLY allowed as part of national unity serves their purposes well.
@Elodieurgf@IngrahamAngle Ok... let's see how far your debate, context, and transparency got you:
Why did the Civil War victors even allow the losers to erect monuments? Is this normal?
What are you REALLY erasing by taking down Confederate statues?
I eagerly await your nuanced answer.
