The Civilizational contract in the Rigveda, the starting point of Sanatan Dharma: Rigveda is one of our oldest text, can be called as India's Bronze age text, more than 4000years old.
It was formed after the battle of 10 kings, when the victorious king Sudas of Bharata Tribe, invited all the scholar, thinkers, seers and poets of the victorious as well as defeated tribes together to sit down and compile all their knowledge, information and mantras into 4 texts, which are now known as Vedas.Rigveda was one amongst those 4 texts.
The first mention of the word Bharat is found here. The civilizational contract for Bharat is present in the last chant of Rigveda Hymn- 191 of Mandala 10:
Aikamatya Suktam (emphasizing importance of unity & harmony) –
"समानो मन्त्रः समितिः समानी समानं मनः सह चित्तमेषाम् । समानं मन्त्रमभिमन्त्रये वः समानेन वो हविषा जुहोमि ॥
Assembled together, speak together, Let your minds be one accord, Let all the ancient Gods take their rightful place around the sacrificial fire. Their place is common, common the assembly, common the mind, so be your minds united,Common purpose do I lay before you, united in your resolve, may be perfect fellowship amongst you”
It is also known as Aikamatya Suktam, emphasizing the importance of unity and harmony.
This unique idea of assimilation as opposed to imposition, was the starting point of Bhartiya civilisation.
‘All Gods have a place around the sacrificial fire’ is our civilisational contract.
The central theme is highlighting it's focus on civilisational unity and agreement and call for collaboration and working towards common goals and participate in united worship. This is the point of start of Santana dharma.
Even the ex-founder of Wikipedia is calling out Wikipedia for allowing malicious propagandaists linked to Audrey Truschke to smear the reputation of Hindu American Foundation. Imagine how cleverly the hatemongers have manipulated online media to ensure that biases against Hindus become deeply embedded.
What a cheap tweet from a Congress doormat. Gentle reminder: Blunder Boy, born into an aristocratic family, became India’s first unelected Prime Minister - handpicked by MK, NOT chosen by the people.
Mr. Red Rose had quite a few colourful feathers in his cap. Apparently, he died of an STD.
Yet his legendary humility shines through in the picture below, where the original Brown Sahib is seen personally barbering Lord Mountbatten.👇
@iAyushiRajput@RShivshankar But those coaches and compartments are reserved for women of all religions- whereas your demand is exclusively for Muslims which is unnecessary and divisive... if you want Sharia complaint gym go to a Sharia complaint nation,India is not for you 🤷♀️
Terracotta fragment of Devi Durga, 200 BCE, Chandraketugarh, Bengal
She wears a headdress with 10 weapons (only 5 shown here because the other half of sculpture is broken off) arrayed in a fanlike fashion. Notice the distinctive Chandrabindu on her forehead,
It’s been over 2000 years yet we still worship Ma in the same form with the same symbols. And yet some charlatans want to dismiss such millennia old civilizational continuity so casually.
That's typical UK in my observations- a country full of useless cowards who didn't lift a finger to protect their own little girls while they were being molested & raped by Paxis for years on end. 🙄
They sht in their pants at the mere sight of a Muslim, yet eagerly point the finger at British Sikhs, who are usually quiet- subservient, over a single bad apple.🤷♀️
There is no disparity, Sir. Unlike Western theological timelines (which historically claimed the universe was created in 4004 BCE), the ancient rishis did not calculate time based on human history. They calculated time on a cosmic, astronomical scale & their numbers match modern science with terrifying accuracy.
The confusion usually happens because people look at a Yuga & read the numbers in Deva Vatsaras (Divine Yrs) rather than converting them into Manava Vatsaras (Human Yrs). Ancient texts explicitly state that time is relative. 1 day of the creator cosmic force (Brahma) equals a Kalpa.
Let us look at the mathematical conversion sheet given in the Surya Siddhanta & Vishnu Purana:
1 Mahayuga (Cycle of 4 Yugas) = 4320000 human yrs
1 Kalpa (1 Day of Brahma) = 1000 Mahayugas
Now, let us do the simple arithmetic:
4320000*1000 = 4320000000 human yrs
A single day of Brahma is exactly 4.32 billion yrs.
According to the Vedic cosmic calendar, we are currently living in the Shveta-Varaha Kalpa (the era of the Earth). The texts give a precise timestamp of where we are right now in the current cosmic day:
We have passed 6 Manvantaras (cosmic eras) & are currently in the 7th (Vaivasvata Manvantara). Within this Manvantara, we are in the 28th Mahayuga, specifically in the early stages of Kali Yuga.
When we add up the exact elapsed time specified in the traditional Sankalpa (the cosmic timestamp recited before Hindu rituals every day), the elapsed time of our current planetary cycle comes out to approximately 1.97 billion yrs.
Now, let us look at what modern science says: Modern geology states that the Earth is about 4.54 billion yrs old, but it took 100s of millions of yrs of chaotic, molten cooling before a solid crust, oceans & life-supporting conditions stabilized. The Varaha Kalpa dates the stabilization & structured epochs of our planet at 4.32 billion yrs.
For an ancient civilization to calculate a timeline in the billions hitting the exact same order of magnitude as modern radiometric dating is statistically impossible to achieve by mere guesswork.
@Joshua_Just23@KreatelyMedia Sadly, the the tolerant Hindu "allowed" a interfering Xtain to get away unharmed...Do this sort of Popery in a Muslim mosque and tell us the consequences (if you remain alive after that) 🤡
When you read Adi Sankara, you suddenly realize Sigmund Freud copied it without understanding.
@Fintech03 has it mostly right. But Sankara specifically provided the order in Nirvana Shataka.
It is Mano, Buddhi, Ahankara and Chitta in that order to remove self.
Why did he use that order?
The @museumofindia calls this a goddess.
Convenient framing.
Because admitting it's just a woman—driving bulls, moving carts, working publicly—makes the Victorian rewrite too obvious.
