@theshrimpbizkit Yes, but again, the very idea of heel Kevin was already split, so I believe saying it’s an objectively bad decision because the crowd continues to be split is silly.
Since the crowd was split on the heel turn, does that mean they shouldn’t have done it at all as well?
@theshrimpbizkit My wording isn’t great on the last part, obviously it’s ideal for the crowd not be split, but I believe looking at a split crowd as an objectively bad thing isn’t right either.
@theshrimpbizkit For that I’ll round back to saying it’s naive to think everyone, or even a majority, should be in agreement on a booking decision.
The crowd was split on the very idea of heel Kevin, so yes I believe thinking they shouldn’t have be split on the “how” of that heel run is naive.
@theshrimpbizkit And again, there are plenty, me included, who think it’s a perfectly good decision . What exactly dictates which side is right? I belive there’s no way to say, which is why I said there’s no way to be objective.
@theshrimpbizkit and all I’m saying is I think a lot of people are too quick to decide how they feel about something before they’ve seen anything from it. It’s literally that simple
You’re the one who said it’s objectively bad because of the reaction, and I simply don’t think that’s how it works
@theshrimpbizkit Like I said, I completely understand not liking it subjectively, but you said that it would be an “objectively bad choice” based on the reaction and opposed to a solo run that we can never truly judge because it didn’t pan out that way. I just don’t think that holds up.
@theshrimpbizkit I understand that, but what I’m getting at is that what you may not be interested in seeing, others will be. I understand that the general reaction currently is negative, but unless you believe the IWC would do a better job creatively, that doesn’t mean much until we see more
@theshrimpbizkit (( additionally, I think that’s where the “but the DCF hasn’t hurt anyone” logic comes in, because there’s no reason to assume it won’t go just as well as a solo run would ))
@theshrimpbizkit The problem with that is we’ll never *actually* know how he would have done solo. We may think he would’ve nailed it, but for all we know he could’ve flopped. Schrödinger’s Jet if you will lol.
What excites someone else may bore me & vice-versa, so that can’t dictate objectives
@theshrimpbizkit Def get that from a personal/subjective stand point, I’ve just seen so many people saying it’s an objectively bad decision for one reason or another, and I don’t think that’s the case either.
I think once he has something to work with story wise in the group, it’ll click well
@jimmyvan I think it’s ironic that AEW is the company that gets the “they don’t tell stories” criticism, because as a whole, WWE has been spinning wheels for quite a bit now.
