The recent student protests have exposed a deeper crisis in our education system.

Students are expected to show discipline, respect and obedience—but how often are they shown the same respect in return?

A teacher who humiliates a student, silences legitimate concerns, or treats colleagues with contempt is not merely failing as an individual. They are damaging the very culture of education they are supposed to uphold.

Students deserve classrooms where they are heard, teachers deserve workplaces built on mutual respect, and institutions must be accountable to both.

Education cannot thrive where dignity is missing.
