Swallowing dry, Matthew nodded in agreement.
Getting up slowly, the teacher managed to grab the bottle and handed to Ed, eyes still on that shadow-y figure.
"Please. . . Ed, take care."
"Coming?"
Ed frowned. Safe ? Well, he just didn't showed his fear, didn't allowed himself to give the thing the satisfaction.
"Matthew I need you to fetch the bottle of holy water for me."
He asked calmly, pointing at his desk, not moving.
With an half opened-mouth, Matt stared at Ed - out of pure fear.
He knew Ed was right; he shouldn't feel scared, but. . . It was horrifying just to glance at it. What worried him the most, however, was Ed - was he safe?
"It's coming. . ."
โDon't be scared, God is more powerful than whatever it is. They feed on your fear.โ
Ed spoke in a firm tone, closing his eyes as he pulled the pendant out of his shirt.
โIf it's as horrid as it seems by your look, it's likely to be a demon.โ
Matthew was surprised as well - a cetic as he was, believing only in science. But - more than surprised- he was scared.
His heart raced as his hands felt like ice blocks. He couldn't tear his glance away from the being, afraid it would attack Ed.
"What is it?"
Ed frowned, reaching for the silver pendant in his necklace. Quietly, he started praying, trying to push away whatever he saw.
At the back of his mind, he was surprised โ so Matt could see things . . .
Taking a deep sigh, Matthew hugged him tightly and let his feelings cross his heart. Slowly, Ed's embrace made him feel calm, enough to chuckle at his words.
"It's easier you getting tired of me than the contrary."
He sniffled, moving just enough to look at him.
"I love you."
โGood man. You're a good man.โ
He whispered gently, resting one hand in Matthew's head, while the other arm would be wrapped around his waist, holding him tightly and close, protective as ever.
โI love you so much . . . Just know, you won't get rid of me so easily.โ
"Okay. . . "
He muttered, sniffling while trying to stop his tears. His head rested on Ed's shoulder, and Matt let his smell fill his nostrils. It never failed to calm him down.
"I love you. . . "
Gently, Ed hugged him closer, grabbing his shirt as to never let him go ever again.
"Shhh . . . Everything's all right. It'll be all right. I'm here with you and we will face it together, okay ?"
He spoke softly, tightening the hug a little.
Matthew only opened his mouth to speak of something - but soon after, it closed.
He gave up. Letting his tears flow free, the teacher hugged Ed as if his life depended of his arms.
"I'm sorry. . . I'm sorry. . . "
โOh, Matthew, we could find a way together.โ
Ed gently offered, reaching for his hands, holding them, caressing them with his thumbs.
โWe still can. I love you, Matthew, how could I ever let you face pain alone ?โ
subject without reliving all those painful memories. . .
"I lost someone very important to me. It has been a while, but still hurts."
Matthew commented, looking away as he felt his eyes getting misty.
"Indeed you are."
Matthew replied with a smile of his own, taking the majority of the young man's load on his arms.
"Tell me where you are going and I'll help you. . . Sir?"
He asked, falling silent for a bit while thinking about how he could touch that painful

"Oh ? Oh . . Yeah."
Charlie shyly spoke, looking at the books in his arms. Slowly, the one on the top started slipping and he chuckled nervously.
"I . . . Maybe I'm carrying more books than I actually can."
+
"I see. You have many in here. . . Interesting themes."
He commented, without any trace of a joke on his voice. Matthew himself had been interested in such themes for a while. . . Around his son's passing. But it was too much for him and he let it go for a bit.

โI got distracted . . . The books were slipping. . .โ
He mumbled, hugging the books against his chest โโ they were secure now. It was a few books on demonology, spirits and whatnot and he blinked softly as soon as he raised his head to look at the man. โ
"Can I be of some help?"
He offered, observing the young man. Matthew heard him and sighed - so he was obviously looking awful again, so much now even strangers were noticing. . .
"I'm not at my best shape for a few years, but I'll manage."
The teacher replied, in a

Matthew was distracted as well - it had been one of those nights again, in which he relived the loss of his in a loop.
Bumping on the young man was actually good - it seemed to wake up the teacher from his reverie.
"Oh, no, it's okay."
Matthew replied,

Charles was maybe too distracted with the books he had in his arms as he walked that he bumped @DEMONOLOGlES arm, accidentally dropping all the books.
โI'm sorry! I'm so sorry!โ
He asked softly, lowering his body to fetch the books, slowly shaking his head at himself.

He offered, following with a nuzzle against Ed's cheek with the tip of his nose.
"Aww, aren't you really sweet?
I'll grab a mask to help you. But first. . . Your coffee."
Matthew laughed, holding the demonologist's hand and guiding him to the kitchen.
"You deserve every spoiling in the world, sir"
Matthew chuckled in a happy tone, almost humming in satisfaction at Ed's touch. He knew how to make Matt happy. . .
"They shall. Kisses and a piece of chocolate cake."
+
โOh ? You spoil me, Matt . . .โ
Ed spoke softly, gently caressing his cheek with the back of two fingers and smiled, admiring the man.
โI'll take that cup of coffee if it comes with kisses . . .โ
In a throaty chuckle, Warren hummed softly. โ
