One billionaire family controls the bridge that carries 25% of all U.S.–Canada trade.

The good news? There's a brand new public bridge right next door (and Canada paid for the whole thing).

The bad news? Donald Trump won't let it open.

Here's the story:

For more than a decade, Michigan and Canada worked together to build a new public crossing right next to it — six lanes over the Detroit River, named for a Canadian-born Red Wings legend, built by thousands of union workers. Canada paid the entire bill. Michigan co-owns it. It's finished. It’s a shining example of international cooperation and collaboration, with a tremendous return for both sides: more jobs, faster trade, and lower costs.

So why isn't it open?

Because the Moroun family, who own the rival Ambassador Bridge just up the river, doesn’t want the competition. They spent years and tens of millions of dollars trying to stop any competing international crossing from being built or opening. They lost. So they went to the White House instead.

In January, Matthew Moroun gave $1 million to a pro-Trump super PAC. Then the billionaire called Trump's Commerce Secretary and, just hours later, Trump suddenly attacked the same publicly owned bridge he praised in his own first term and threatened to block it.
Then, the day before the June 12th ribbon-cutting, the opening was called off indefinitely.

It's corruption so flagrant it would be laughable if it weren't so damaging.

Trump is screwing over Michiganders for the interests of billionaires — holding a finished, publicly owned project hostage to protect one donor's toll booth.

So a finished bridge sits closed, Michiganders keep paying the higher tolls, cars and trucks cost more, and a billionaire family keeps its monopoly.

Mr. President: stop playing games. Open the damn bridge.

ردّ نائب الرئيس الأميركي جي دي فانس على رسالة من رئيس حزب القوات اللبنانية د. سمير جعجع بشأن سيادة لبنان ووضع المسيحيين، مؤكداً اعتراف الولايات المتحدة بالرئيس جوزف عون والحكومة اللبنانية بوصفهما السلطة الشرعية الوحيدة.

وشدّد فانس على أن واشنطن تعتزم العمل مع الدولة اللبنانية لحماية سيادتها وتعزيز السلطة الشرعية، موضحاً أن الاتصالات الأميركية مع إيران تهدف فقط إلى الضغط على حزب الله للالتزام بتعهداته، لا إلى منح طهران أي دور في تقرير مستقبل لبنان.

تلقى رئيس حزب القوات اللبنانية الدكتور سمير جعجع رداً من نائب رئيس الولايات المتحدة الأميركية جي دي فانس @JDVance على الرسالة التي كان قد وجهها إليه بشأن الأوضاع في لبنان والتحديات المرتبطة بالسيادة اللبنانية ودور الدولة، إضافة إلى الواقع الذي يعيشه المسيحيون في لبنان.
وأكد فانس في رده تقديره لرسالة الدكتور جعجع، مشدداً على أن الولايات المتحدة تنظر إلى رئيس الجمهورية العماد جوزاف عون والحكومة اللبنانية باعتبارهما السلطة الشرعية الوحيدة في لبنان، وأن واشنطن تعتزم العمل مع الدولة اللبنانية بما يمكنها من حماية سيادتها وترسيخ سلطتها الشرعية.
كما أوضح نائب الرئيس الأميركي أن الاتصالات التي تجريها الإدارة الأميركية مع إيران في ما يتعلق بلبنان لا تهدف إلى إعطاء طهران أي دور في تقرير مستقبل لبنان أو التأثير على قراراته، بل إلى ضمان قيامها بالضغط على حزب الله للالتزام بالتعهدات والالتزامات المترتبة عليه.
وأشار فانس إلى المتابعة المستمرة التي يجريها مع المسؤولين الأميركيين المعنيين للملف اللبناني، مؤكداً اهتمام الإدارة الأميركية بتطورات الأوضاع في لبنان ودعمها لسيادته ومؤسساته الشرعية.

🚨🇮🇷🇺🇸 BREAKING: Bloomberg has reportedly published the full MOU, and it ends the war "on ALL FRONTS."

The 12 points:

-Tehran, Washington, and their allies declare an immediate and final end to the war on ALL FRONTS.

-All sides pledge no hostile action and to refrain from threats.

-Both pledge to reach a final agreement within 60 days, extendable.

-The U.S. lifts the naval blockade on Iran immediately upon signing.

-The U.S. pledges to withdraw its forces from the region within 30 days of the final agreement.

-Iran works to resume ship movement within 30 days, including removing obstacles.

-Washington will help rehabilitate and develop Iran's economy with regional partners, and end sanctions on an agreed timeline.

-Iran reiterates it will NEVER produce nuclear weapons, with the fate of enriched material deferred to the final deal.

-Both maintain the status quo until then: Iran keeps its current nuclear program, the U.S. adds no sanctions or forces.

-Washington exempts Iranian oil and related banking from sanctions.

-Washington releases frozen Iranian funds, with final negotiations beginning once implementation guarantees are met.

-The final agreement is locked in by a binding UN Security Council resolution.

The two words that just detonated in Jerusalem sit in point one: "all fronts."
