Yesterday, we awarded the Purple Heart to BG Gregory Holden; Col. Mark Wisher (Ret.); LTC Mario Roberts (Ret.); MAJ Tony Jones (Ret.); SFC LaRitza Hamby (Ret.); and, posthumously, MAJ Gregory Stone. His son, Mr. Joseph Stone, accepted the award on his behalf.

These warriors—and their families—have sacrificed greatly in service to our nation.

Earlier today, we gathered at the Pentagon for our monthly prayer service.

We celebrated the 251st anniversary of the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps and honored the chaplains who have faithfully served our warriors.

U.S. forces began launching strikes against Iran at 8 p.m. ET today. The strikes are a powerful response to yesterday's attempted Iranian attacks on U.S. forces based in the Middle East.

At 5:45 p.m. ET today, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces launched multiple ballistic missiles from Iran in an attempted surprise attack on U.S. forces based in the Middle East. All Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted. U.S. forces remain vigilant and at a high state of readiness.

These warriors answered the call and secured our southern border.
